As I set foot on Parc Jean-Drapeau, I am greeted with a plethora of activities and sights, ranging from pristine beaches to inviting bike paths. 

There’s easy navigation through the park by hopping on the tram, which effortlessly takes me around the entire area, ensuring that even as a newcomer, I can find my way with ease.

I enter La Ronde and marvel at the variety of rides for kids and adults alike, catering to thrill-seekers of all ages. In this exhilarating theme park, everyone can truly embrace the adventurous spirit of Parc Jean-Drapeau.

Local tip: There are also some restaurants within the park so you can grab a bite before or after riding on some roller coasters!

3. Montreal has a very exciting nightlife.

Montreal is a city that never sleeps, and it is constantly buzzing with excitement, so even we are always left fascinated. There are many things to do in Montreal, and one of the reasons why I love living here is because it has an exciting nightlife. 

The city offers many different types of clubs such as bars, pubs, lounges and nightclubs that allow you to have fun all night long. These places have live music performances and DJs who play various music genres like hip hop, R&B, techno etc.

In fact, Montreal’s nightlife rivals those found in New York City or Las Vegas. The city’s bars and clubs attract people from all over the world and they come here to party until the wee hours of the morning.

Montreal offers many parks and green spaces that you can visit with your family or friends. There are also many lakes where you can go swimming, fishing, canoeing or kayaking.

The city offers easy access to hiking trails and mountain bike trails along with other activities such as rock climbing, skiing and snowboarding. 

These activities are available year round, even during the winter months when there is less snow on the ground you can still go skiing or snowboarding at one of our local ski resorts, such as Mont Tremblant Ski Resort and Parc Omega Ski Resort.

Local tip: Montreal’s other outdoor settings like Lachine Canal are best explored by biking where you can experience local flavors and culture.

I’ve had the pleasure of skiing at Mont Tremblant and it is worth visiting based on my experience. Beautiful scenery, great food and fun people! 

The resort is known for its excellent ski conditions and its proximity to Montreal. With over 130 trails and glades, there is something for everyone. 

The resort also has several restaurants, bars and other attractions onsite for guests to enjoy before or after skiing. Best of all, it only takes 2 hours to get there from Montreal!

I am a foodie, so when people ask me why they should visit Montreal, one of the first things I mention is the food. The diversity of food in Montreal is one of its biggest strengths. 

The city is full of great restaurants, cafes and bakeries that serve some of the best French cuisine in North America. 

There are so many different types of restaurants that offer different types of food from all over the world. Some people may not be aware of this but Montreal has a large Lebanese population who have influenced our cuisine here in the city. 

You can find restaurants serving Lebanese food all over town including one at Old Port called La Banquise that serves poutine with toppings like merguez sausage!

The city has a low crime rate compared to other cities, and it has an overall score of 67.25 in terms of the safety of walking alone at night. Tourists can enjoy their stay in Montreal without worrying about anything happening to them.

The reason why Montreal is a safe place is because our police officers here are very professional and friendly towards us and even visitors. 

They always patrol the streets every day and night to ensure that everyone stays safe throughout the evening hours when most crime happens at night time.

Local tip: While Montreal is generally a safe city, it’s essential to remain vigilant by keeping an eye on your belongings, avoiding poorly lit areas at night, and staying aware of your surroundings, especially in crowded tourist locations.

8. The architecture of Montreal is impressive and unique.

The city’s architecture is one of its great characteristics, with many buildings having been designed by famous architects such as Frank Gehry. The city center is filled with beautiful stone buildings that date back to the 18th century. 

Montreal has some great examples of architecture that are worth seeing for yourself. The Notre-Dame Basilica is one such example. 

It was built over 150 years ago and is still standing today. The building itself is beautiful and has been used as a model for many other churches around the world.

Another example of great architecture in Montreal is Mount Royal Park where you can find the oldest operating observatory in North America as well as several museums and statues.

9. Museums and art galleries are an integral part of the city’s culture.

The city of Montreal is home to many museums and art galleries that you can visit to learn more about the history of the city or to admire local artwork.

Some museums are free while others cost money; however, they all offer something different depending on what interests you most.

The Biodome is one of my favorite attractions in Montreal because it gives you a chance to see different species of animals that are not found in your own country. 

The Biodome has two levels: the first level contains tropical rainforest while the second level is home to arctic habitats. 

The main goal of the Biodome was to educate people about protecting our planet’s natural resources such as water, air, soil and wildlife by showing visitors how each ecosystem works together as one unit.

When you enter this place, you will feel like you were transported into another world filled with exotic plants and animals that you can’t find anywhere else but here.
