West Van Attempts the Kathmandu World’s Biggest Hike This Summer 2025

Want to be part of a record-breaking achievement?

Hikers are invited to be part of history by joining the Kathmandu World’s Biggest Hike to aim for a Guinness World Record on August 30, 2025.

What will it attempt to break? The record of “most people hiking simultaneously.”

This epic event will bring you closer to nature while striving to finish a daring feat, as more than 1,000 hikers will walk 4 km together to reach the Sky Quad of Cypress Mountain in Vancouver.

Apart from a possible triumph, participants will also get to support the BC Parks Foundation, as all proceeds from shorts and water bottle purchases will go directly to it.

Anyone with hiking experience or an average fitness level is welcome to attend. Even children who are well-acquainted with hiking can participate—yes, this is a family-friendly event!

And once you reach the top, you can go back down by riding the chairlift at Sky Quad. But descending on foot is welcome!
