We like that their labourers and only truck are completely licenced, which, in our opinion, is a key factor behind earning the trust of their clients.

Handling both residential and commercial projects, we appreciate that they follow waste management protocol. We learned that they don’t collect hazardous waste, which they will first explain to you during your conversation with them. 

We also appreciate that they recycle and donate materials they get from junk. We commend them for doing more than simply collecting trash; they also donate usable furniture, electronics, clothing, and homewares to local charities.

We love that their service is available 24 hours a day, Monday to Sunday. This is appreciated as other waste management service companies only operate at specific times.

They also reportedly arrive within 2 hours of your booking, which is quite decent. However, you may need to inform them if you need the service done sooner to see if they can make an adjustment for you.

Also, they only have one truck servicing all clients, so this may mean a service queue during peak hours. To avoid this, make sure that you book them early on.

A word of caution: there have been complaints of clients being disappointed with the hidden charges for their service. Make sure you ask for a detailed cost breakdown when you book their services for your peace of mind.

What we like about their service is that they provide 3 services: recycling, waste management, and farm clean up. We also like that they are open 24/7 daily, so their customers will be able to call anytime of the day.

Another thing we love about the company is that they have a 1 month free trial service once you refer their service to others.

Noteworthy is their farm clean-up, in which they operate removal of old buildings, fences, and equipment. 

Not only will this help ease the burden for clients, but since they’re experts in recycling, they can provide insight to customers who don’t know how to sort their items.

We appreciate that they provide two Multipurpose Collection Units for flexibility: MPC and MPC lite. The MPC is good for high-density neighbourhoods, whilst the MPC lite is more maneuverable and suitable for tighter streets.

Moreover, we love that the MPCs make the service more efficient as they have a mechanised arm for loading the truck, thus reducing total time of service and easing the workers’ load.

It’s unfortunate that they don’t provide online payment transactions, while their counterparts do this as a convenience to both company and clients. 

Lastly, we are just concerned about reports that they come late for the pickups. We hope this is something that they can address, as there are time-sensitive clients who will be put off by tardiness.

Another great waste management service is Earth Waste Management Ltd. They offer a wide range of services including waste management, cleaning, and ground maintenance.

What we like about the company is that they provide cleaning services, which we think is helpful especially for people who are moving out of their old house. 

We also learned that they pick up hazardous waste from households and different industries such as hospitals, manufacturing, etc. We like that they provide this service unlike their other counterparts who don’t provide this service.

It’s worth noting that they are very accessible across Calgary and nearby areas, in fact they have 17 different locations. We love this as clients can avail their services with just calling the nearby Earth Waste Management Ltd. office. 

We appreciate their free quote request. We were also delighted that they allow their customers to pay online which is actually a great idea since it gives so much convenience to customers.

It’s also worth noting their eagerness to assess whether they’re providing the best service to their customers. In fact they do surveys from time-to-time to their clients just to ensure that their workers are doing their job properly.

Finally, as for their availability, their service is from Monday to Sunday 8:30AM to 8:00PM only, so we really encourage you to request a quote early.

New Era Waste Management has been providing waste management services across Calgary for more than 10 years.

We appreciate that they made their pricing available on their website. However, it’s unfortunate to know that their rates are higher compared to other waste management services.

Additionally, most waste management services offer yard bins with a 14-day rental period, while they only offer theirs for 5 days.

We also learned that they don’t offer a wide variety of waste management services; in fact, they only have bin rentals for waste management.

In our opinion, we’d like to see a few more waste management related services in their company, such as recycling and cleaning services.

We were relieved to learn that they offer delivery and pick-up services 24 hours a day, seven days a week, which is ideal for households who can’t deal with their waste in the morning as they usually have work.

What we also like about them is that they go through health protocols per the government mandate about waste.

However, they only provide two sizes of bins: 15 and 22 cubic yards. This, we think, can cater only to lighter materials.

Remember to consult them on what waste you’ll be putting in the dumpster bin as they will charge you extra if you put waste that is prohibited from being put in the bin.

Another company in our list is Environmental 360 Solutions. They provide their services for all waste management needs in Calgary.

We like that their team is insured and licenced, which makes them easily recognised by homeowners and business owners as they have established their credentials well.

We are pleased that they offer a complete fleet of trucks, including speciality vehicles, modern collection and container systems, and recycling and treatment facilities.

However, they only serve Monday to Saturday, 7 am to 7 pm, while their other counterparts provide long hours to collect waste.

It is also worth noting that they provide bin rentals. They have bins ranging in size from 4 yards to 40 yards.

In addition, what we like about the company is that they are affordable when it comes to bin rentals. For instance, they only charge around $295 for a 12 cubic yard bin with a 14-day rental period.

Do note, however, that if you use their bins for more than 14 days, they will charge you $5 for every additional day.

Their service also comes with a free estimate, but you need to request a quote for you to be able to know their pricing. 

Lastly, it’s unfortunate that we’ve received complaints of non-confirmations for appointments. Some clients reported that no one showed up on the day of their booking, which is troubling.
