What we like most about Golden Pools Services is that they cover everything related to swimming pool maintenance. They handle the entire pool lifecycle, including seasonal openings, weekly maintenance, water testing, chemical balancing, etc. 

On top of that, they also repair pumps and other equipment, and even take care of upgrades or renovations when needed. You won’t have to call in a separate technician when you run into mechanical issues. 

Their wide selection of pool supplies and maintenance products is handy, too. And we appreciate that they don’t try to upsell anything to their clients, especially with additional products that aren’t necessary. 

Scheduling-wise, they stick to what was agreed, so you won’t have to worry about cleaning delays or things like algae growth and chemical imbalances. 

Now, we did notice that they don’t frame their services with long-term packages or subscriptions. The good news is that their prices per visit are competitive (around $75 per weekly visit), which is quite the steal.

R&R Pools has over 40 years of experience in pool installation, service, and water care. This sort of background means they have strong technical expertise and proven service systems that can help you avoid costly mistakes during repairs or maintenance. 

We love that they can assist clients from the initial planning stage through installation and ongoing support. In other words, the technicians already know the ins and outs of the systems installed, making it easier for them to maintain or troubleshoot if issues arise. 

Speaking of systems, you can also upgrade your pool features since they offer automation systems, covers, lighting, slides, and even energy-efficient technology. 

Here’s the thing, though: they don’t specialize in above-ground pools, which can be a dealbreaker for some. We also think their winter hours are limited.

On the bright side, their inground pool expertise is worth mentioning. If this is what you have or plan to have, then they’re a solid bet, especially for plumbing systems and structural considerations.

If you suspect leaks are the main issue of your pool, then Lowry’s Pool Service Plus is a good place to call. You see, James, the technician, has over 35 years of experience in installing and servicing pools, developing a knack for leak detection—avoiding costly trial-and-error repairs. 

That said, we’re glad that they work with multiple pool types, such as fibreglass, above-ground, on-ground, and inground pools. It’s crucial for the technician to have experience with different types since each has its own nuanced maintenance requirements. 

It’s just a bummer that they decided to downsize, which means they no longer work on larger projects or pool installations. This can be a dealbreaker if you’re looking for an all-in pool service provider. 

But hey, we did note that they still install upgrades, such as safety covers and other useful systems. Plus, you can discuss their financing options to help you get started with the project without hefty upfront costs.

The unique thing about McBurney LeisureScapes is that they specialize in handling both pools and hot tubs, covering openings, closings, repairs, and inspections. It’s definitely a win for owners who have both, since you won’t have to juggle multiple technicians. 

Their repair and equipment installation services are worth highlighting, too. We love that they provide inspections and can repair or install pumps, filters, skimmers, lights, and other pool equipment. 

And if you’re planning for larger projects, it’s convenient that they can handle major pool renovations. Think liner replacements, coping updates, saltwater conversions, and other projects that require structural and plumbing expertise. 

The drawback? We heard some concerns regarding their lack of action and urgency in addressing post-job concerns. You’ll probably have to get a direct line with your technician to make sure they can accommodate you ASAP.

Nonetheless, we can’t deny that their services are incredibly comprehensive, and they even have a wide selection of pool maintenance products and a reliable showroom.

Backyard Dreams Pool Design & Construction specializes in both pool installations and maintenance services. So, it saves you the hassle of working with different providers since they can build and maintain the pool themselves and can simplify troubleshooting.

The range they provide spans up to equipment and water care products as well. For instance, you can directly get supplies, equipment, water treatment products, and accessories from them—this boosts compatibility with the installed system. 

We also have to give them props for their craftsmanship and attention to detail with installations and maintenance. The clients we spoke with praised the high-quality and long-lasting outcomes, ultimately reducing structural issues, liner damage, or plumbing failures later on.

But we do think it’s a shame that they mainly just focus on in-ground pools, so you’ll probably have to look elsewhere if you have or plan to build types like above-ground pools. 

The silver lining is that you can take advantage of their free consultations to discuss your options without upfront costs.
