K & K Swim School is an excellent choice for swim instruction, and here’s why we highly recommend it. This swim school excels in providing personalized, one-on-one lessons that cater to the unique needs of each swimmer, regardless of age or skill level.

But what makes K & K Swim School different in our books is their quality to individualized learning. Their instructors are not only highly skilled but also passionate about teaching.

They make swimming fun and engaging, which is crucial for building confidence in the water. Also, this school offers a range of programs, from beginner lessons to advanced techniques, making it a versatile option for all swimming needs.

However, there are a couple of considerations to keep in mind. The personalized nature of the lessons means that costs can be higher compared to group classes. Additionally, availability might be limited during peak times due to the popularity of the school.

Despite these minor cons, the quality of instruction and the positive, supportive environment make K & K Swim School a great swimming school for anyone looking to improve their swimming skills.

Pros

  • Highly skilled and passionate instructors
  • Wide range of programs

Cons

  • Higher cost compared to group lessons

It provides a thriving environment for swimmers

I am just so impressed with the way Elijah has progressed. We have had him in another swimming program since he was six months old, and the difference in what he has learned in three weeks compared to what he learned in five years is exponential. He is more confident. He is thriving in this environment and is so excited to go to lessons every week.

When it comes to swimming instruction, the British Swim School of Edmonton stands out for teaching water safety and swim skills in a fun, supportive environment.

Upon checking their curriculum, we appreciate how they focus on survival skills first, so even the youngest swimmers gain confidence and essential safety knowledge early on.

Plus, we found that the instructors are highly trained and patient, creating a positive atmosphere!

Just note that its rates are the cost can be higher compared to other local swim schools—which might be a consideration if you’re budget-conscious.

Additionally, the popularity of the school can lead to waitlists, so it could be challenging to secure immediate enrollment.

On the bright side, we think British Swim School shines for its progressive teaching methods.  From what we’ve observed, the instructors are great at adjusting for individual learning paces.

Additionally, class sizes are small, and every student receives ample attention and guidance. So, it’s a major plus for those who want focused attention while learning.

Pros

  • Focus on water safety
  • Highly trained, patient instructors
  • Personalized teaching methods
  • Small class sizes

Cons

  • Higher costs
  • Potential waitlists

It’s a great swim school that’s ideal for beginners and toddlers

Great swim school: small classes; great instructors; very convenient location for us; and reasonably priced. 4.5 stars because change rooms (tent) not ideal for when you have toddlers but we manage and I understand it’s due to the location. I will highly recommend.

It will exceed your expectations!

I highly recommend British Swim School for any age group, anyone who needs to improve swimming skills or overcome a fear of water. Our only expectation was for our daughter to overcome her fear of water. Not only that she become comfortable in water, her swimming technique improved drastically in a short period of time. All of the instructors are highly trained and experienced, and very patient with the students. Also, having small groups allows instructors to focus on each student individually to improve their technique. The school offer make up classes as well, and has very flexible schedule to fit anyones needs. In any way, exceeded our expectations.

From what we’ve seen, AquaMobile Swim School is a fantastic option if you want personalized swim training in Edmonton.

We love how they bring lessons right to your home or preferred pool, making it super convenient. In our books, this flexibility in scheduling and location is perfect for busy families!

Plus, their certified instructors create a fun and engaging environment, from what we’ve seen. However, we must note that there are a couple of things to consider.

First, the cost of these at-home lessons can be higher than traditional swim schools. Next, finding a suitable pool might be challenging if you don’t have a private one because they don’t have their own facility.

Despite these points, AquaMobile Swim School stands out with its highly customized training plans tailored to each swimmer’s needs.

The one-on-one attention makes students progress at their own pace, building confidence and improving skills effectively.

Pros

  • Personalized, at-home lessons
  • Flexible scheduling

Cons

  • Higher costs for personalized lessons
  • Need for access to a suitable pool

World Waterpark Swim Club World Waterpark Swim Club at West Edmonton Mall is a fantastic place to boost your swimming skills in a fun and exciting setting.

This club is located in one of North America’s largest indoor water parks, providing access to various pools and attractions.

You can even choose from private, semi-private, and group lessons, making it easy to fit your schedule and learning style. We personally love the group lessons here because we encountered a few aspiring swimmers who are fellow beginners as well.

However, we found that the club’s location within a busy mall can lead to crowded conditions and limited lesson availability. Additionally, the cost of lessons might be higher than other swim schools due to the unique venue and extensive amenities.

Despite these minute drawbacks, the World Waterpark Swim Club offers a unique and engaging way to improve your swimming skills.

For us, this is a huge deal because it makes it a great choice for those looking for both quality instruction and an exciting setting.

Pros

  • Unique and exciting environment
  • Wide variety of lesson options
  • Experienced and dedicated instructors
  • Dynamic and engaging setting

Cons

  • Potentially crowded conditions
  • Higher lesson costs

Patient and skilled instructors

Today, two out of my three kids (one 7, the other 4) just had their first swim lesson in Medicine Hat and I am floored at how much they were able to accomplish during their lesson. Love how patient my son’s instructor was with him. He’s one of those give him an inch and he’ll take a mile kind of kiddos so I am very impressed at the progress he made considering this! I wasn’t going to start my 6 month old yet but I’ve now changed my mind. So happy I decided to try little bettas.
