Pockit Self Storage is a highly accessible facility with four locations in Alberta—two in North and South Winnipeg! We also like the 24/7 unit access by using a keycard.

What we really like about this facility is it provides packing and moving supplies for its tenants. Whether you’re moving heavy items like books and kitchenware or need to pack pillows and linens, they have a wide range of box sizes for sale!

One downside, however, is that not all box sizes are available in all its locations. Ultimately, we don’t recommend relying solely on Pockit Self Storage for moving supplies.

Another aspect we like is the various unit sizes for different budgets and needs—these are modern and clean, too! The smallest is 5×5 25 square feet, ideal for seasonal items like holiday decorations.

Additionally, we like that the biggest unit can basically fit all your furniture. With an impressive 300 square feet of space, the 10×30 is an ideal choice for tenants with a seven-bedroom house!

Plus, there are climate-controlled units to keep your stored items cool and dry. We also appreciate that moving carts are available free of charge to haul items from your vehicle to the unit.

However, Pockit Self Storage is a bit on the pricier side. We suggest checking out the limited discounts to save on your first month.

What impressed us about Access Storage is how accessible it is for Winnipegers. There are many branches from north to south!

We also found the wide range of storage units impressive! There are residential units, car storage, and moving storage spaces.

In addition to that, tenants have 24-hour access, allowing them to move their items at any time, even during odd hours. However, not all locations offer this, which is unfortunate.

On a good note, tenants can use free move-in vans! It’s a unique benefit, which definitely earns this facility points in our book!

Plus, Access Storage has a list of moving partners to help its customers with the heavy load. This is also available for long-distance moves, providing even more convenience for the customers.

Moreover, we appreciate that there are packing supplies available for purchase online. You can pick these up at your preferred location, which is another convenient aspect!

What’s more, there are plenty of vehicle storage units in various sizes for cars, boats, RVs, and trailers. We found this service helpful for winter months to keep your vehicles safe.

One drawback we discovered is that certain Access Storage locations do not allow access outside regular office hours, despite 24/7 access. There were instances when the gate was locked, preventing tenants from accessing their units during those times.

Also, the service quality will depend on the location. For instance, some had tight parking and other facilities weren’t cleaned up properly.

East Side Storage earned its spot on our list for various reasons, one of which is the convenient drive-up access to ground-level units. Moreover, the facility boasts a considerable amount of space.

Convenience is also one of our favourite things, especially for tenants looking for commercial storage. We appreciate that the facility has a business center equipped with a computer, a fax machine, and a copy machine!

Additionally, this storage facility offers units catering to a wide range of vehicles, including cars, RVs, trailers, and trucks! Another convenient aspect for Winnipegers, particularly in freezing winter seasons.

Furthermore, East Side Storage offers various business storage solutions, which we appreciate! Notably, there are record and file storage services to keep confidential files safely stored—ideal for office decluttering!

Plus, the temperature-controlled units can keep files, CDs, and films safely stored. We also like that there’s an individual door alarm system to add an extra layer of protection.

Another convenient service we really like is the truck rental. It’s helpful for tenants needing to move large items!

However, East Side Storage only has one location, which is on Dugald Road. If you live far away, there’s no other branch to go to.

We were also disappointed that there’s no 24-hour access. Currently, tenants can only access their self-storage units from 6:00 AM to 11:00 PM.

Bulldog Self Storage has a very spacious facility, which is one of the reasons it earned a spot on our top self-storage facilities in Winnipeg! The expansion of the outdoor area now allows for more vehicles to enter.

Moreover, there are vehicle storage units to keep your cars safe for the winter. There’s even a spacious 13×30 unit covering 320 square feet, which can accommodate a large boat!

A notable feature of East Side Storage is their seamless roof design on all storage buildings, ensuring no screw holes. This prevents water leakage, keeping your items safe from moisture and potential mould growth.

Additionally, there are packing supplies available for sale on-site. We appreciate that there are tarps and various box sizes for different types of items, from mattresses to clothes!

Furthermore, we appreciate that there are trucks available for rent. It’s a helpful feature and benefits tenants in the middle of moving house or office.

A standout feature we were glad to discover is the condition of the facility—it’s well-maintained! Each storage unit is clean, which we believe reflects the care provided to the premises.

While we appreciate the long operating hours, it’s unfortunate that there’s no 24-hour access to East Side Storage. It also has only one location in Winnipeg, on Main Street.

St. Anne’s Self Storage, located along Creek Bend Road, offers 24-hour access to all storage units! It’s highly convenient for tenants who need to visit during odd hours.

The convenient aspect is that numerous units offer drive-up access, eliminating the need for a lengthy walk when accessing your self-storage unit. It’s a time saver and provides an efficient way of accessing your unit.

We also like that there’s a moving truck available for free! Some storage facilities in Winnipeg offer this for a small price, so we approve of St. Anne’s Self Storage!

A standout feature we found is the storage crew can accept deliveries on behalf of the renters. This thoughtful service sets this facility apart, providing an added level of convenience for tenants!

When it comes to security, it’s worth noting that there’s 24/7 real-time video surveillance at St. Anne’s Self Storage! The partnership with BIL Security ensures all storage units are closely monitored, which is really important to keep items safe—thumbs up!

While everything appears to be fine and dandy, St. Anne’s Self Storage has only one location in Winnipeg. If you live far away, this may not be an ideal self-storage facility.

Also, we were disheartened to hear reports about poor customer service, particularly with miscommunication. We highly suggest getting everything in writing, especially when using their free services.
