Source Office Furniture (SOF) is one of the office furniture retailers in Edmonton. It has been operating since 1989, which we think is a good indicator that its products are high quality and satisfactory to generations of clients.

Aside from years, we think SOF’s edge compared to others is the 11 types of office chairs it sells since it gives many options to its clients. It also partners with five brands–good news if you are very particular about it.

And among SOF’s office chairs, the most notable for us is the kneeling chairs–and they are one of the few that sell them in the city. According to our research, these chairs help correct back muscles even during long hours of sitting. 

SOF also provides floor design and planning consultation as part of its services. We found this feature useful for start-ups or moving companies.

Moreover, unlike others, we appreciate that SOF is available until Saturdays because it allows customers who are busy during weekdays, like students and office workers, to check the office chairs.

In our experience, the product qualities of a company with decades of experience have been proven and tested over time. And with it operating since 1966, we are sure that RGO Product’s office chairs fit the said characteristics.

Unlike most sellers, it’s notable that RGO has a showroom. We also think this feature is helpful for clients–especially those who value form over function–in assessing which office chair fits the interior of their room or office the best.

On that note, we like that it has wide office chair selections for every preference. It’s partnered with five different brands and sells five types of office chairs–the most eye-catching and rare being the swivel chair.

We also think that customers who are on a budget would like that the company also sells pre-owned office chairs. 

However, there are very few instances wherein clients return their furniture for recalibration. Nevertheless, we appreciate that the customer service is the opposite– friendly, quick, and responsive about repair requests and any inquiry.

Speaking of which, RGO has reupholstery, reconditioning, cleaning, and maintenance as part of other services. We think this is worth mentioning because these are useful to keep your office chair in its best state.

Gregg Distributors Liquidators (GD) is one of the shops in the city that sells pre-owned furniture–including office chairs. We think this is good news for customers who are on a budget or prefer to refurbish old items.

But compared to others, GD has fewer selections as it only has three types of office chairs and two brand partnerships. Although that is the case, we think their products are worth a shot if you’re looking for standard seats, like ergonomic chairs.

Also, we think the quality of GD’s office chairs is well-made and at par with the best in its industry. We concluded so because the company has been around since 1987, indicating that its products have satisfied many customers.

It’s a letdown, however, that the company’s delivery service is the only amenity beneficial for office chair purchasers. We think it would be handy for customers if it would add repair or maintenance services for its products in the future.

Aside from that, we consider GD’s lack of a dedicated catalogue or gallery for its products as a con. This would be inconvenient for clients who want to list their preferred office chairs before visiting the company.

Although its parking area is not spacious, we like it’s enough room for many customers. Also, clients who want to visit their store via public transportation would be relieved to know it’s a few minutes from a stop.

Although it only has four varieties of office chairs, its hybrid chair caught our interest. It is a mix of ergonomic and mesh chairs–the perfect choice for clients who want comfort and functionality in their purchase.

AF also has three other notable services: repairs, installation, and design specifications. We think the last one could elevate the customer experience–especially for those who need modifications on their office chairs that are not usually available in the market.

Furthermore, AF has a showroom that clients can visit. We appreciate this feature because clients can see and evaluate the style of their office chair and if it would fit the theme of their workplace or home office.

We think the company’s years of service, which date back to 1974, make it a reputable retailer that sells office chairs that consistently meets the expectations of its clients.

Among its office chairs, we think the kneeling chair and high back are the most notable. Based on our research, the former is a good choice for smaller spaces and improves posture, while the latter helps the neck muscles.

Also, CDI provides design services for clients who want to modify their offices into hybrid working areas or meeting rooms. We think this feature is handy for companies–whether small or big–who want cohesive interior design for their workplace.

However, it’s a letdown that consultation is the only supplementary service it can provide. We would appreciate it if CDI would add more services, like repairs and maintenance, as part of their services.
