One Document at a Time: 5 Best Notary Public in Toronto
Signatures are not the only thing you need to make a document legal. That was something I had to learn the hard way during a certain agreement that became unenforceable by law.
So, don’t be like me and submit paperwork without getting it notarized first! It’s a pain, believe me.
The good thing is we’re wiser now. It’s time to bring your document to your trusted notary public and have them signed and sealed! Check out our best bets!

We chose Downtown Notary because they’re super convenient. We appreciate that they’re all about making things easy for clients, which is helpful for busy Torontonians.
Aside from walk-in appointments, they also offer online and mobile notary services. When we inquired, we learned they can even go anywhere in the GTA, whether you’re at home, in the office, or at the airport!
Additionally, their online notary is conveniently available for same-day appointments. Their office is also commuter-friendly, which is another plus in our books!
We must mention that they’re closed on weekends, which is unfortunate, but they do accept statutory holiday appointments. It was also bummer to hear complaints from clients who had scheduling problems.
Their full range of notary services is another plus in our books. They can notarize affidavits, court forms, agreements, and citizenship forms.
Another positive thing we like is their rates are pretty reasonable in Toronto. Their in-person service is $37.99 for the first notarization, making them a budget-friendly option!
Pros
- Offers mobile and online notary
- Accepts online same-day appointments
- Available on statutory holidays
- Prices are reasonable
Cons
- Hiccups with the scheduling system
- Closed for in-person weekend appointments
Responsive team
“I called shortly after they opened and left a voicemail to make an appointment. I received a call back within the hour and was offered a same day appointment. Mario was pleasant, organized and thorough. If/when I need notary services in the future I will definately contact them again.”

Here’s the thing about Mirzoyan Legal: they’re a notary public and provide expert legal services. It’s because their knowledge of landlord-tenant dispute resolution services gives them an edge when it comes to legalities.
Their range of services is also a plus because they’re available for in-person, online, and mobile notary services in Toronto. It’s a plus you can call them to ask for same-day appointments.
We appreciate that they also try to be flexible with their hours since they’re open six days a week. They don’t have an office, though, so you’ll have to go to the condominium complex, which is why they don’t accept walk-ins.
It’s also a good thing they can notarize almost any document, such as oaths, affidavits, and certified true copies.
Price-wise, we found them super affordable since they charge only $31.95 for the first notarization and $19.95 for additional ones. They even offer a money-back guarantee for their online notary services!
Pros
- Available for online and mobile notary
- Same-day appointments are available
- Affordable prices
- Provides money-back guarantee
Cons
- No walk-ins

What’s impressive about Toronto Notary Public is their really affordable fees! This makes them very accessible to many Torontonians, especially those who need to notarize lots of documents.
The first to third notary signatures are only $14.95 plus HST, and the succeeding ones are even cheaper. They even offer discounts for notary signatures over 15—really inexpensive, eh?
Their lawyer and notary public can notarize a lot of document types, such as affidavits, invitation letters, and wills. It helps that their online booking system is clear and concise because it will show you the necessary documents you need to bring.
The only problem? They don’t offer mobile notary services and they don’t accept walk-ins. So, you’ll need to set up an appointment on their website.
But we do appreciate how clearly they communicate with clients. When we spoke with them, they were helpful and informative to make sure no time was wasted.
Pros
- Very affordable pricing
- Offers discounts for over 15 signatures
- Easy online booking system
Cons
- Doesn’t accept walk-ins
- No mobile services

Notary Pro has many branches in Toronto, which is one of the reasons we like them. With branches in downtown, they’re an accessible service.
Plus, some of their notary public are available seven days a week. These guys don’t accept walk-ins, though, but the good news is their appointment system is really easy to navigate—even our non-techie friends said it was not complicated!
And even though they don’t offer mobile services, they do have online notary public services. This service is on-demand, which means you can have a digitally notarized document in 15 minutes!
In our opinion, the prices are okay unless you have additional documents. Additional online notary signatures are $38.95 each, which is a couple of dollars higher than what we’re used to.
We appreciate their flexibility and informative approach. Based on what we’ve seen, these guys have been really professional, helpful, friendly, and patient, which are qualities we love in customer service!
Pros
- Has many branches
- Accessible locations
- Some branches are open daily
- Easy online appointment system

Cons

Very convenient service
“So fast, convenient and easy. Originally I was going to go into the office but decided to try out the Virtual Notary. It was so simple to click into the meeting, go through the documentation and then wrap it up in less than 10 minutes! Francesco was a pleasure to work with. I strongly recommend Notary Pro to any one!”

Their specialization is vast since they can sign many types of documents. This includes affidavits, statutory declarations, certified true copies, and oaths.
