Document Genie offers a wide range of services to its Edmontonian clients. It provides hassle-free notary public services to insurance services.

Apart from notarial services, they also offer translation, commissioning, and fingerprinting. In fact, they translate over 150 languages for court documents, advertising, and even marriage certificates.

But let’s go back to their notary. We’re glad they offer same-day services if you’re in immediate need of notarizing important documents.

Besides that, they accept appointments early in the morning and late evening. They’re also open on Saturdays if you are busy on weekdays.

We highly appreciate the availability of Document Genie, especially for urgent concerns. They also try to achieve a 15-minute turnaround time, so you won’t have to wait long.

A drawback is some customers find their prices more expensive than similar businesses. We think they can add a price list on their website so customers will be ready for the fees.

On the positive side, they offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee. This will give you peace of mind when there are issues with how your document was notarized.

Pros

  • Provides legal services
  • Reasonable fees
  • Quick turnaround time
  • Excellent customer service

Cons

  • Only one lawyer available
  • Location may not be ideal for commuting

B.Kay Law Office, founded by Bikramjit Singh, provides various legal services in Edmonton. It promises cost-effective solutions to stressful and scary legal problems.

It offers reasonable fees for notary public services such as passport documents and travel consent letters, among others.

In fact, B.Kay’s past clients liked the affordable pricing. In addition, the staff provides quotes in advance to provide transparency.

We appreciate that aside from notary public, you can hire a lawyer for legal advice if you need one. You can stay in one place to hire multiple services that require a lawyer.

However, there’s only one lawyer currently available, and you may need to wait a while if Singh is busy.

Another downside is the slightly inconvenient location. Commuting may be a tad difficult in the area.

On the other hand, there are many parking spaces around the office. Despite busy hours, you will find an available slot.

As for the turnaround time, they provide a speedy process. Despite not promising same-day service, some clients got their notarized documents in 30 minutes or less.

We’re also glad to hear about the excellent customer service. Clients liked the staff’s efficiency and respectfulness.

Finally, we want to say that B.Kay Law Office is open six days a week. And on Sundays, they open their office on an appointment basis.

Pros

  • Over 48 years of experience
  • Various services available
  • Prompt services
  • Flexible payment options

Cons

  • Higher prices
  • Can improve on customer service

Senior partner Verne Karasick founded The Law Clinic. It has over 48 years of legal experience in Edmonton.

We appreciate the convenient location. There are many shops and a huge parking area so that you can find a spot near the office despite rush hours.

Another thing we appreciate is the wide range of services available. You can hire them from notary public to commercial transactions.

As for the prices, a lawyer will first review your documents and requirements before deciding on the cost. Unfortunately, some clients felt their charges were a bit high.

The good thing is they have quick services. Despite not having an appointment, some clients received their documents immediately.

Also,  they’re open on Saturdays. We believe this is an advantage since some people are usually busy on weekdays.

However, we suggest still getting an appointment. It’s because they provide other legal services and they might not always have the time to accommodate walk-ins.

Moreover, they can be pretty busy, and since the office is small, you may get turned away if the waiting area is filled with clients.

We also feel they can improve more on customer service. Some had unsatisfactory experiences, especially when they talked about the higher fees.

Lastly, the Law Clinic accepts payment via debit, Visa, Mastercard, and e-transfer. We highly appreciate the flexible options they give their clients.

Pros

  • Affordable rates
  • Prompt service
  • Good customer service
  • Convenient location

Cons

  • Closed on weekends
  • Only accepts walk-ins with prior confirmation

Affordable Notary Public & Oath Commissioner Services, as its name suggests, provides inexpensive notarial services in the Edmonton area.

It has a convenient location near Oliver Square in the North West area. There are a tonne of nearby shops, which is convenient if you have other errands to run.

Although there’s available street parking, you may need to come early to find a parking spot close to the office. But we think you can find a space, even if it’s a few blocks away.

They’ve also stayed true to their name by having affordable rates. Many of the clients we talked with mentioned the great prices.

Moreover, they provided immediate notary public services. The staff were efficient and worked without any delays.

Additionally, their clients liked the excellent customer service. The staff went above and beyond to help their clients with any concerns.

In Particular, they accepted walk-in customers. But we still recommend booking an appointment if they’re busy on the day you decide to come by.

Also, they only accept walk-ins with a call or text confirmation first. It’s a good thing they have an easy online booking system.

Unfortunately, they’re closed on weekends. If you need an immediate notary service, you might have to get off work earlier than usual.

All in all, we like the prompt and good service of Affordable Notary Public. If you’re on a tight budget, this can be a good service to look into.

Pros

  • Online notary is available daily
  • Provides immediate service
  • Reasonable prices
  • Offers money back guarantee

Cons

  • Lack of proper signage in office
  • In-person notary is closed on weekends

Founded in 2016, NotaryPro focuses on online notarization across North America. It promises convenient and fast notary public services, with offices across Canada.

We appreciate the easy access to online services. You don’t need to create an account or download a mobile app.

In this case, you don’t have to leave your home to get your document notarized. After setting an appointment, you can video call a notary signing agent, even during weekends.

Additionally, you only need to add your online signature. After all that, you will receive an email with your digitally notarized document.

Just remember that they don’t accept remote signing of wills or power of attorney documents.

We also appreciate the money-back guarantee if there are problems with the notarized document. We think this can ease their clients’ minds since online notary is still relatively new to some people.

The good thing is you can opt for an in-person notary service. But the availability is limited only to weekdays.

Also, we think they can improve their office because some clients couldn’t find it since there was no proper signage. We believe adding clear instructions can also be beneficial to preventing clients from getting lost.

On the positive side, their prices are affordable, starting at $37.95 for one notary seal and signature. Any additional documents will each have a $25.95 fee.

To end, we like the convenience and availability of NotaryPro, especially if you’re a busy bee. You can also choose them for an immediate notary public in Edmonton.
