Kids Dental, on the other hand, has a convenient location because it’s near numerous transit stops and has ample parking space. We like that it’s accessible for patients whether they prefer public transportation or private vehicles.

But the clinic isn’t available for weekend appointments. For us, that’s an inconvenient aspect for kids with school on weekdays.

For those considering a visit to Kids Dental, the website offers a gallery that provides a glimpse of the clinic’s welcoming and playful ambiance. It’s a handy feature for new visitors who want to get a feel for the place before making an appointment.

While Dr. Wiltshire and his team excel in patient care, some patients have noted room for enhancement in customer service and scheduling. We’re hoping they will improve this area to serve their patients better.

Dr. Kass of Children’s Dental World specializes in pediatric dentistry. For your child’s dental health, we think it’s best to choose a specialist who understands the unique needs and challenges of young smiles.

We’re also glad that Dr. Kass takes the time to ensure that kids are comfortable and understand what’s happening during their visit. His patient-centred approach helps build trust and reduces anxiety, making it a win-win for parents and their little ones.

Meanwhile, Children’s Dental World doesn’t just stop at pediatric dentistry. They offer a range of services under one roof, including orthodontics, surgery, and Invisalign, which we think is a pro since it means fewer trips to different specialists.

It’s also worth sharing that Children’s Dental World has an on-site surgical center. It’s their stand-out feature because, for us, being in a familiar, kid-friendly environment can significantly reduce children’s anxiety and stress.

Moreover, Dr. Kass uses latex and gluten-free products, catering to patients with allergies. It’s a great and thoughtful feature since it ensures that every child can receive dental care without worrying about allergic reactions.

Children’s Dental World has accessible locations because of its three branches in the city: McPhillips, Regent, and Pembina. Also, we like the most visited McPhillips clinic because it’s near bus stops and has a huge parking space with PWD spots.

Unfortunately, Children’s Dental World is not open on weekends. We consider it a bit of a letdown, considering that Saturdays and Sundays are the only days most parents and kids have time to go to dentists.

Now, as with any practice, there’s always room for improvement. We think it’s a letdown that some patients have noted that better customer communication, especially regarding payment details and responsiveness, could enhance the overall experience.

Dr. Ziad Baghdadi of Greenwoods Pediatric Dentistry Centre in Winnipeg has been a kids’ dentist since 1992. We also think his professorship in the Pediatric Dentistry Department at the University of Manitoba would instill confidence in parents.

Also, Dr. Baghdadi has associations with different dental institutions in Canada, including the Canadian Association of Public Dentistry. These affiliations speak volumes about his commitment to providing top-notch dental care.

Unfortunately, Dr. Baghdadi’s busy schedule, split between another clinic and university obligations, can sometimes lead to scheduling challenges. Although it could be a minor problem, setting an appointment beforehand is the best way to address it.

Meanwhile, Greenwood’s Pediatric Dentistry Centre offers eight types of dental care for kids. From dental crowns to early orthodontics, we’re glad parents are assured that their dental needs are all under one roof.

For kids who may be anxious about dental visits, this clinic provides sedation dentistry. We think it’s a handy feature for those needing a bit of comfort during dental procedures.

Greenwood’s Pediatric Dentistry Centre is also open on weekends, which is unusual compared to its competitors. It’s a win-win because it allows you to schedule appointments without worrying about school and work commitments.

Furthermore, Greenwood’s Pediatric Dentistry Centre has five branches in Winnipeg. We like that they have multiple locations that parents can access as it adds extra convenience for going to dental appointments.

It’s also worth sharing that their most-visited branch, the McPhillips clinic, is near bus stops, which is convenient for those who like travelling on foot. Although they have ample parking space, it’s a letdown because they don’t have designated PWD spots.

Dr. Mel McManus isn’t just any dentist; he’s a member of the Minnesota Board of Dentistry and the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. It’s reassuring that he’s a part of prestigious boards, which speaks volumes about his commitment.

Also, Dr. McManus has been in practice since 2001—a solid two decades of experience. For parents, it means they’re entrusting their child’s dental health to a seasoned professional who knows the ins and outs of kids’ dental care.

Furthermore, Dr. McManus has earned a reputation for being caring and gentle from previous patients. In our expert opinion, a dentist who knows how to make kids feel comfortable is worth their weight in gold.

Toddlers to Teens Dental, where Dr. McManus works, specializes in various dental services, including care for children with special needs and sports injury prevention. It’s a one-stop shop for all your child’s dental needs.

We’re also glad to share that Toddlers to Teens Dental’s Eastgate Shopping Centre branch has a location convenient for Winnipeggers. Aside from its proximity to several bus stops, there’s ample parking space for hassle-free visits.

However, it’s slightly inconvenient that the surgical clinic is not in the city but located in Concord. This might require some extra travel for specific procedures.

Lastly, we’re hoping that Dr. McManus’s clinic will improve customer communication, especially in explaining a patient’s medical condition and final billing, so things will end well for both the client and the dentist.

Dr. Shelly Halchuk of LifeSmiles Dental has been on a mission to promote healthy smiles for Winnipeggers since 2014. Although she has fewer years of experience than others, we find her almost a decade of expertise reassuring.
