We think BinHimyar Law Group stands out because of their expertise. The firm opened in 2005, specializing in immigration law. And yes, they have a wide range of practice areas, making them a solid choice for many clients in different walks of life.

They offer business and family immigration, citizenship assistance, and refugee and asylum services. These guys are also very accessible in many ways. They’re actually open six days a week, which is really unique for a law firm in Vancouver.

Plus, they offer services in different languages— a must in an immigration law firm! Aside from English, they speak Arabic, Farsi, Portuguese, Spanish, and Hindi.

Not all lawyers have decades of experience, though. But that’s not a big deal because, from what we’ve seen, they always go above and beyond for clients and have been super responsive.

It doesn’t end there. Their fees are actually reasonable for the level of service you get!

Pros

  • Speaks many languages
  • Open 6x a week
  • Reasonable fees
  • Known for efficiency

Cons

  • Not all lawyers have decades of expertise

Located in Downtown Vancouver, Mansouri Immigration Firm is one of our staff picks because of their expertise and accessibility. Their location in the Financial District makes visiting them such a breeze.

They’re a one-stop destination for all your immigration needs. It’s because they’re a full-service immigration law firm, which means you can find what you need in one place.

We love that you can come to them for help if you’re here on business or need to bring your family from abroad. You see, their services include business and student immigration, sponsorships, and appeals.

What’s cool is that they speak in English, Persian, and French. They don’t have a large team of lawyers, though, so booking may be tough sometimes and there have been issues with delayed responses from our surveys.

As for the fees, we were happy they’re accessible for clients without unlimited budgets. The initial consultation is only $250 for a 30 to 60-minute session.

    Pros

    • Full-service law immigration law firm
    • Located downtown
    • Speaks Persian and French
    • Reasonable consultation fee

    Cons

    • Some reports of delayed responses
    • Tough to book sometimes (small team)

      Exceptionally professional

“I had an outstanding experience working with this team. They were exceptionally professional, knowledgeable, and provided invaluable support throughout the entire process. Their expertise and guidance made what could have been a stressful situation remarkably smooth and straightforward. I highly recommend their services to anyone in need of legal assistance!”

      Everyone was polite and patient

“I had a fantastic experience with Mr. Mansouri and his firm. Mr. Mansouri himself is a true gentleman, and his honesty is what first attracted me to the firm. Everyone I interacted with was polite and patient. Don’t hesitate to send any documents, even if they seem unrelated, as they might be helpful in the end.”

This is what impressed us about Larlee Rosenberg: their 30 years of experience in the field. They originally started in 1993, then became what it is today after a 2009 restructuring partnership.

When we looked for expertise, these folks ticked the boxes! This firm has a pretty large team of immigration lawyers with decades of experience dealing with various immigration cases.

They specialize in assisting employers, individuals, and families. While that’s a wide reach, they’re still quite limited compared to others on our list.

But that’s not a massive issue because they’ve shown a deep knowledge of what they specialize in. During our research, we found out that they know how to navigate complex immigration cases.

They can definitely assist other nationalities because of their proficiency in languages other than English, such as Mandarin and Cantonese.

Sadly, we received reports about delayed responses and miscommunications. On the plus side, we’ve seen a massive improvement since then!

      Pros

      • Originally opened in 1993
      • Large team
      • Works on complex cases
      • Proficient in other languages

      Cons

      • Reports of miscommunications
      • Limited areas of practice

        Able to handle complex challenges

“I recently had pleasure of working with Steven and Natalie on my immigration case which was little complex and my case was completed well before average processing time. From our very first meeting, Steven’s expertise, dedication, and professionalism were crystal clear. Steven was always available to answer my questions, and provided regular updates on my case. His ability to navigate complex legal challenges with ease is a testament to his exceptional skills and experience. Thanks to his hard work and commitment to his clients, my immigration case was completed successfully well in time.”

        Efficient and effective

“We contacted Krisha Dhaliwal at Larlee Rosenburg to assist us with a challenging work permit situation that had arisen with a colleague. Immigration law can be confusing – we spoke to a number of lawyers and consultants each of whom suggested something different. Krisha immediately instilled confidence with her suggestion of a path we were unaware of and that quickly resulted in a successful outcome. Her work was efficient and effective.  We feel deeply grateful to have benefited from her expertise. Thanks Krisha!”

What impressed us about Goldman Associates is their over three decades of experience assisting different kinds of people who want to move to Canada. They actually have a wide array of services.

Their practice areas include permanent residence and citizenship assistance, business applications for entrepreneurs and self-employed individuals, and appeals.

They stand out with their personalised services, which is awesome because not all situations need one-size-fits-all solutions. Instead of online assessments, you can also speak directly with your lawyer.

However, booking can be tough— expect a wait of about a month. On the bright side, they have a lawyer available for Saturday appointments.

Plus, we appreciate that they travel from time to time for clients who live far away from their office.

However, their fees are more expensive, with consultation fees of $400 to $600. The good thing is the meeting is pretty thorough and includes various options available based on your situation.

        Pros

        • Personalised services
        • Available for Saturday appointment
        • Can travel to meet clients
        • No online assessments; direct consult only

        Cons

        • Long waiting time
        • Expensive fees

          Patient and thorough

“Ian was recommended to me and when I was looking for a second opinion after being quoted $10,000 by an immigration consultant.  Ian was able to provide a consultation on relatively short notice. Ian helped us to understand the options available to us, and the information he provided saved us that $10,000.  He was patient, thorough and provided answers that were easy to understand.  I would definitely recommend Ian and his firm to anyone looking for assistance with an immigration matter.”

          Very straight to the point

“Writing on behalf of my mom since she does not have a Gmail: she recommends coming to Mr. Ian Goldman if anyone needs a good immigration lawyer. My mom came out of the appointment feeling very satisfied and confident on how she was going to proceed with her situation. He was very straight to the point and provided very important insights on how to move forward. Mr. Ian Goldman is very generous with his time, and makes you feel comfortable in asking him anything!”

MKS Immigration Lawyers offers pretty much everything under one umbrella. That makes them one of our picks because they can cater to many individuals with unique needs.

They’ve even earned recognition as a boutique immigration law firm. For us, that speaks volumes about their service quality, and it’s easy to see how.

These guys offer a full range of services for simple and complex cases. They assist students, families, and employers, as well as offer assistance for appeals and court challenges.

In addition, we really like their team. During our inquiry, we learned that they have a large team, so you can easily find a lawyer who specialises in your immigration case—  some have personal experience as they’re children of immigrants and refugees.

They’re just not the most reasonable, budget-wise. Their consultation fee is $550 (+tax), but we appreciate that this lasts 60 to 90 minutes (longer than other Vancouver immigration lawyers).

          Pros

          • Full services
          • Large team
          • Lawyers have personal immigration experiences
          • Works on complex cases
          • Thorough consultations

          Cons

          • A tad pricier

Able to make the best decisions

“I would like to express my utmost gratitude to the MKS team, especially Ashley who has worked closely with us on our citizenship applications that were stuck at IRCC for over three years and finally we got the certificates today. Ashley understands the situation well and has the ability to make the best decisions through the process. My family and I are very grateful for all the help and encouragement that we received from her and couldn’t be more thankful. I highly recommend the MKS law firm for anyone in need of advice with complex immigration application.”

“Rudi Kischer and his team at MKS Immigration Lawyers are AMAZING! They worked tirelessly on my immigration matter. I appreciated their prompt communication, excellent representation, and fair billing practices. Highly recommended!”
