We also like that they’re the kind of team that knows how to deal with all the red tape—permits, strata approvals, and even dealing with neighbours if needed. 

That said, they’re not the most budget-friendly option out there. Some homeowners did mention the higher price tag, but most also felt the results were worth it.

Kerr Design takes the whole “custom home” idea and runs with it—from architecture and permits to construction and interior design, they keep it all under one roof. That alone makes things a lot smoother if you’d rather not juggle multiple contractors and consultants. 

And if you’re looking to refresh an older home, they’ve got a solid track record, too. Their in-house interior design team helps you sour out finishes and layouts, which adds a nice personal touch. 

What we love the most is their warranty. While most builders offer the standard 2-5-10 coverage, Kerr goes well beyond—3 years for materials and labour, 6 for water damage, and 12 for structural issues. 

However, we feel a bit iffy after hearing a few homeowners mention some surprise costs popping up mid-project. So, if you’re working with Kerr, it’s worth getting everything in writing and keeping those budget conversations upfront and ongoing. 

Despite this, their extensive warranty and full-service approach make them a standout choice.
