Pros
- Focuses on female plastic surgery
- Assists with out-of-town patient lodging
- Has a well-lit and clean clinic
- UWO Clinician Investigator Program first female resident
- Patient gets surgeon’s contact details
Cons
- Some instances of late email response
Dr. Stephanie Power, a board-certified plastic surgeon, is at the helm of Power Plastic Surgery in Toronto. Her clinic focuses on facial aging and the female body—which we admire since it gives women a safe space to go to.
Dr. Power’s credentials also impressed our team! She finished her undergraduate degree at Princeton University and her MD at the University of Western Ontario (UWO).
Additionally, she made history as the first female plastic surgery resident to enroll in the UWO Clinician Investigator Program. That’s definitely a milestone worth highlighting!
From what we’ve researched, her training is also notable. She successfully undertook two fellowships at the University of Toronto in Aesthetic Surgery and Trauma & Reconstructive Surgery.
We like that aside from facial plastic surgery, she also specializes in face and body. In fact, she offers a tonne of treatment options, including minor surgical procedures, such as mole and scar removal.
Her approach is worth mentioning as well due to her professionalism. Based on our surveys, her previous patients liked how Dr. Power made them feel comfortable during the process, which we understand can be scary—it’s surgery, after all!
Furthermore, we commend her patience, as she is known for not rushing her patients. We also appreciate her informative approach, ensuring she knows what her patients like.
Plus, we were pleasantly surprised that each patient will be given Dr. Power’s contact details. Consequently, patients will get direct access in case of post-operative concerns.
On top of that, we admire Dr. Power for accommodating out-of-town patients. Her staff can even help you with lodging arrangements if you aren’t from Toronto!
As for the facilities, we absolutely loved the Power Plastic Surgery clinic! It was clean and well-lit, and it’s obvious Dr. Power and her team like pink!
A minor issue for us, however, is it can sometimes take a while before getting an email response. Nonetheless, these seem to be isolated occurrences since they get a lot of clients, which is a testament to their reliability!

Pros
- Received one of the highest ABFPRS scores
- Has been called in as a media expert
- Specializes in ethnic rhinoplasty
- Provides a thorough consultation
Cons
- Expensive rates
- Some reports of long waiting times
Dr. Jamil Asaria is a board-certified facial plastic surgeon based in Toronto. He’s the founder and director of Face Toronto, located along Davenport Road.
Upon checking him out, we found that his educational background is impressive! He completed his five-year residency at the University of Toronto in Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery.
Furthermore, he completed his facial plastic surgery fellowship at the University of Michigan. He even studied under the mentorship of renowned surgeon Dr. Shan Baker.
What’s more, he earned one of the highest scores ever documented on the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Exam (ABFPRS). That’s also impressive as it’s the benchmark examination for facial plastic surgeons worldwide!
We also think it’s worth highlighting that Dr. Jamil is the Clinical Instructor at the University of Toronto’s Division of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Plus, he’s the Chief Examiner in Facial Plastic Surgery for Head and Neck Surgery residents.
Whew! That’s a lot of impressive credentials! It’s not surprising that he’s been called over as a media expert by CNN, BBC, and CBC News.
As for his consults, we admire the thoroughness! From our surveys, we noted that Dr. Asaria even considers his patient’s background, ethnicity, and aesthetic preferences.
For us, those factors are essential to achieve the best possible outcome. It’s also an essential quality we looked for in our search for Canada’s best facial surgeons.
Dr. Asaria’s services are pretty varied, too, as he can do facial surgery, hair transplant, and injectables.
But one of our favourites is his extensive rhinoplasty services, and we applaud him for offering ethnic rhinoplasty. This particular procedure requires a high level of expertise due to the structural variations of ethnic noses.
Finally, we admire that Face Toronto’s clinic was built from the ground up. The positive? We like how they designed it to be functional with a welcoming and luxurious feel.
But all that comes with a high price tag, as Face Toronto is pretty expensive compared to the other clinics in the area. We also came across reports of long waiting times in our surveys, as the clinic tends to get busy.
4. Dr. Marc DuPéré – Visage Clinic

Pros
- Award-winning plastic surgeon
- Commits to continuous learning
- 7x winner of the Top Plastic Surgery Clinic
- Clinic provides a high level of privacy
Cons
- Expensive rates
- Consultation fee not applied to the procedure
Dr. Marc DuPéré, a board-certified facial plastic surgeon, is a product of the Faculty of Medicine of the prestigious McGill University. He trained under Dr. Bruce Williams, a pioneer in Canadian and North American plastic surgery.
Notably, he completed his Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada at the University of Toronto. But what’s even more impressive is the awards he earned during his training.
What are these awards, you say? The Wood Gold Medal at McGill University, and the following from the University of Toronto: F.M. Woolhouse Clinical Research Award, Best Clinical Paper Award, and the A.W. Harrison Resident Teaching Award.
From what we’ve seen, one commendable aspect of Dr. DuPéré is his commitment to continuous learning. He follows the Maintenance of Certification (MOC) Program offered by the Royal College.
As for Dr. DuPéré’s skills, we love his expertise in male and female facial plastic surgery. Facial structures differ based on gender, and tailored procedures need high skills, so experience is crucial!
His practice, Visage Toronto, has a welcoming staff. A favourite of ours is the initial consultation, which provides a welcoming and calming atmosphere to his patients.
The clinic has a luxurious feel as well, which adds to a comfortable experience. Additionally, we applaud the privacy they provide. There’s valet parking and a private entrance and exit!
We think it’s also worth highlighting that Visage Toronto even won the Top Choice Awards for the Top Plastic Surgery Clinic from 2013 to 2019!
On the downside, all these come at a steep cost. Dr. DuPéré’s consultation fee is $400 + HST, which won’t be credited to the procedure, so better prepare your wallets if you’re planning to consult with him!

Pros
- A facial reconstructive surgeon
- Specializes in microsurgery
- Provides virtual consultations
- Clinic is spacious
Cons
- Some reports of long waiting times
Board-certified plastic surgeon, Dr. Arko Demianczuk has over 20 years of experience in the industry. That’s a plus for us due to the skills he’s acquired over the years.
Another positive aspect is that he doesn’t stop with facial plastic surgery—he’s a cosmetic, plastic, and reconstructive surgeon!
We like his educational background and training. Dr. Demianczuk finished his fellowship in plastic surgery at the University of British Columbia. Afterwards, he trained in cosmetic surgery at Harvard Medical School, Massachusetts General Hospital.
But wait—his noteworthy background continues further. We were also impressed that he was Head of Undergraduate Education in Plastic Surgery at the University of British Columbia (UBC).
In addition, he served as Director of the UBC Resident Cosmetic Clinic. At the same university, he remains a Clinical Associate Professor.
Dr. Demianczuk is a facial reconstructive surgeon. This is a noteworthy aspect in our books because it requires high levels of expertise in order to restore the patient’s normal appearance.
Furthermore, we were in awe of his microsurgery service. That requires more experience, and we applaud his precision skills.
His clinic, Pacific Plastic Surgery Group, is well-maintained, spacious, and bright. It gives off a comfortable ambience for us.
We also like that Dr. Demianczuk and his staff can easily cater to out-of-town patients. There’s a virtual consultation, convenient if you’re not from Vancouver (or Canada!).
The downside, however, is reports of long waiting times. Some post-op patients had to wait a while before seeing the doctor.
Nonetheless, we were glad that they addressed these. How? They’ve improved with communication, earning them plus points in our books!

Pros
- Only female fellow of the CAFPRS in Alberta
- Specializes in reconstructive surgery
- Recognized by mainstream media outlets
- Won Calgary’s Top Plastic Surgery Clinic
- Accepts virtual consultations
Cons
- Expensive rates
Dr. Kristina Zakhary is a facial plastic surgeon in Calgary. Her credentials are pretty long, which surely blew us away!
Let’s start with her educational background. She earned her MD and Masters degrees at McGill University, which we know is one of the top universities in Canada.
At the same institution, she was a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery.
Then, she finished her post-residency fellowship at the University of Toronto in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. But that’s not all!
Now living in Alberta, she’s an associate staff member at the University of Calgary’s Faculty of Medicine. Plus, she has surgical privileges at the Rockyview General Hospital.
What else is worth highlighting about Dr. Zakhary? She’s the only female Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (CAFPRS) in the GTA and Alberta!
As a facial plastic and cosmetic surgeon, she mainly focuses on rhinoplasty, facelift, forehead lift, and blepharoplasty. That’s quite a lot, and we like how you can go to her for any facial surgery!
Additionally, we admire Dr. Zakhary for specializing in reconstructive surgery. It requires a lot of skills and expertise, making her one of the best facial plastic surgeons in Canada for us!
In fact, she’s quite recognized by prominent mainstream media outlets. They’ve invited her to take part in guest appearances and interviews, including CBC News.
She heads her clinic, the Dr. Kristina Zakhary – Facial Plastic Surgery Clinic Calgary. It even won the 2023 Top Choice Awards as Calgary’s Top Plastic Surgery Clinic.
Her clinic also accepts virtual consultations! That’s good news for people living outside Calgary.
Finally, while Dr. Zakhary’s practice has expensive rates, we highly appreciate that they have various financing options available.
