Wags & Whiskers Pet Service was one of our top picks because of its friendly staff members. From the moment an elderly woman spoke to us with a gentle voice over the phone to the grooming service itself, we were treated with the utmost warmth and kindness.

We also reached out to other pawrents, and they shared how compassionate the groomers were with their dogs, displaying great gentleness. Some clients also appreciated the staff’s handling of their pets’ “naughtiness”, stating that their furbabies immediately felt at ease in their care.

Wags & Whiskers Pet Service also offers a full array of grooming services, including washing, cutting and styling, nail trimming, and more. Our interviewees even showed us photos of their dogs before and after getting a haircut, and they were barely recognisable.

The centre itself is well-maintained, and we appreciated how they offered comfy waiting areas for pawrents.

Our only wish is for them to extend their operating hours, as they’re closed on Mondays and only operate for two hours on Sundays.

Maison Fluff is one of the most accessible dog grooming centres in Montreal due to its Downtown location and seven-day operation. Furthermore, we appreciate the seamless booking process on their official website, which allows clients to choose the exact date and time.

Kudos to their team as well, as regulars whom we interviewed told us that their appointment is always on the dot. 

One of the major factors we liked about Maison Fluff is its complete selection of services. For starters, they offer a full grooming package, which includes bath and dry, nail clipping, and de-shedding.

Our interviewees told us that this package is what they opt for, and their dogs always leave the centre smelling good. 

Plus, they told us how they started trusting this place when they saw their dogs being completely smitten with their groomers, even if they thought the prices were slightly higher.

Lastly, the centre was also neat and featured a modern look, which we dig as opposed to the usual clinic-looking vibe.

From our interviews, Doghaus is a crowd favourite because of its warm and welcoming environment. This can be attributed to its cosy interior and extremely friendly staff members, who were also highlighted as being dog people through and through by our respondents.

Our favourite thing about this place, however, is its complete set of services. They can cater to all sizes of dogs and offer minor grooming services such as bath and brush as well as complete makeovers, which include de-shedding, baths, blow-dry, and haircut.

Their puppy intro also caught our attention, which they offer to allow 5-month-old (or younger) babies to get used to the sounds and feelings of a grooming centre.

We also liked how easy it is to book an appointment through their phone line, which is extremely responsive. It definitely makes up for the lack of an online booking system.

Some clients even noted how their dogs were catered to, even when their days were fully booked, as some clients’ services were done faster than expected.

Spa Beasts V.I.P.’s reputation among the dog community in Montreal piqued our interest, as pawrents spoke fondly of their customer service. For starters, they told us how the owners welcomed them with warmth and answered their questions patiently regarding their services.

The same friendliness can be said about their groomers, who were highlighted as being super gentle by previous clients. Some clients who had senior dogs even told us that the groomers were extremely patient in handling them throughout the grooming session.

We also appreciate the centre’s complete selection of services, ranging from washing to nail-trimming, de-shedding, and more. Also, we noticed how they were equipped with complete tools, including different-sized brushes, modern blowers, and a wide selection of shears.

They also offer home services for a more convenient process for pawrents. We’ve interviewed those who availed of it, and they told us how courteous their groomers were in their homes.

While the clinic was well-maintained, the waiting area wasn’t that great. On the bright side, it’s conveniently located near cafes and restaurants.

Aux Deux Griffes, with over 25 years in business, has cemented our confidence in their services. Not to mention the countless praises that their previous and regular customers shared about their workmanship during our interviews.

They specifically mentioned that the groomers are extra careful with the dogs and attentive to the parents, helping them identify areas where the dogs may have scars. We were also pleased to discover that dogs felt at ease when being groomed by their professional staff!

We also like their selection of grooming services, as they didn’t just offer full-blown packages. This way, clients can opt for minor maintenance services such as nail clipping, shearing, and bathing.

Pawrents have also highlighted the quality of products their groomers use, stating how their dogs would smell good for several days after the service.

Lastly, we like how accessible the location of the clinic is, being near the metro as well as cafes and restaurants. The only downside is that they’re only open five days a week.
