Clearview Home & Property Inspections is an award-winning company. They won the Consumer Choice Award for the best Home Inspection Company in the GTA nine times. This isn’t exactly for commercial properties, but their track record holds great value.
Their team is also very qualified, which is an impressive feat. They are certified by the InterNACHI (the association for residential and commercial property inspectors) and also in mold inspections, radon gas measurements, and infrared thermography.
We’re also impressed with their training background. Their building inspector even graduated with honours from Humber College and even formally trained for over 500 hours.
Their experience leads them to inspect small and big properties, such as warehouses, office and industrial buildings, strip malls, and other commercial properties.
It’s awesome they can also coordinate to inspect fire safety, indoor air quality, and any building code violation inquiries. Our buddy was very surprised at how involved they were, which definitely made an impression.
It’s just that there’s an $800 minimum fee for commercial inspection, which I guess is forgivable since their price matches their incredibly detailed reports—we noticed the report was full to the brim.
Overall, they’re a solid choice because we saw no issues with their service. It helps that they have a convenient booking system that comes with flexible hours.
Pros
- 9x winner of the Consumer Choice Award
- Has a solid educational background and training
- Provides a convenient booking system
Cons
- Commercial inspection has a minimum fee
Incredible customer support
“We had a wonderful experience with Tom. He was very thorough and walked us through every step of the way. He answered all of our questions. He even expedited our report as we needed as soon as possible. Absolutely recommend.”
Darrell Gonzales, Google Review
Shows care and friendly approach to clients
“Tom went above and beyond my expectations. He detailed each part of the inspection and invited us to join him after each part to discuss any issues and concerns. He is professional, knowledgeable, friendly and shows that he truly cares about his clients and their future home. He is also lighthearted and has a sense of humour which made the home inspection a lot more exciting than I expected. Thanks so much!”

One of our picks is The Professional Home & Building Inspectors because of their over three decades of expertise in the field. It’s impressive they’re also very experienced in engineering and construction, which helps with building inspections.
They’re also an accredited business with the BBB with an A+ rating. Plus, we appreciate they’re active members of various professional associations like the Canadian Association of Home & Property Inspectors, where they’re a National Certificate Holder.
When we inquired with them, we were pleasantly surprised that they made sure we were available for the building inspection. It’s not a requirement to be present, but we admire their transparency and efforts in ensuring we were included.
Their inspection checklist basically includes everything, from the roof to the basement. That’s pretty normal, though, so what caught our attention was their level of professionalism.
We noticed how patient they were in their job. It’s really awesome that they were friendly but remained professional and pointed out even the smallest issues, which shows their commitment to good customer service.
The only flaw we found is only residential clients get extra benefits, like a free 2nd visit for house maintenance. But we’re probably splitting hairs here because they’re still a good choice, especially with the 100% satisfaction guarantee.
Pros
- Has an A+ BBB accreditation
- Offers a 100% satisfaction guarantee
- Service is transparent
Cons
- Extra benefits only for residential inspection
Very thorough service
“Mourad had recently helped inspect a property and was very thorough and professional. His inspection summary helped me make informed decision. I would recommend Mourad to anyone looking for a good home inspector.”
JP, Google Review
Provides and efficient service
“I am extremely impressed by the professionalism of home inspector Mourad. He is organized, efficient, thorough and has communicated inspection findings both in person as well as through a same day PDF report to illustrate his recommendations. Mourad is not only fully qualified but also approachable, pleasant, friendly yet entirely professional in his conduct. I would wholeheartedly recommend Mourad to anyone requiring a quality, detailed and professional home inspection.”

Solex Group Professional Home Inspection is a North York business but still serves the GTA. It’s convenient they have an easy booking system so you can set your appointment any time—and there’s no need for back-and-forth emails.
Here, you get a Certified Master Inspector, which impressed us because it’s the top designation in the industry. Surely, that speaks volumes about their expertise and knowledge.
Plus, they have other professional affiliations that show their skills, like being a National Certificate Holder, which also means they follow a code of ethics. Besides that, we found they also have a strong background in construction, which adds to their expertise.
We found they received the Three Best Rated Award in 2023 for Home Inspectors in Toronto. On top of that, it’s impressive they were featured by CBC News, Toronto Star and the National Post.
They inspect warehouses, strip malls, condominium and apartment buildings, light industrial properties, and places of worship. There are even extra environmental services you can add, like mold and radon testing.
But what’s incredible is their top-notch service, which our mates spoke highly about. The prices are also reasonable and returning clients get 5% off future inspections.
Our only issue is that there are no Sunday bookings. Other than that, they still make a top-notch building inspector.
Pros
- A Certified Master Inspector
- Provides an easy booking system
- Returning clients get 5% off future inspections
- A Three Best Rated winner
Cons
- No Sunday appointments available
Very responsive during the service
“Vahn was very professional, friendly, thorough, and a pleasure to work with. I accompanied him during the inspection and he gave tons of real-time feedback on issues he identified, welcoming me to ask questions and obtain clarification. I learned a lot about my house and was able to make a priority list of issues to address.”
Josh Pose, Google Review
Prices are reasonable
“Vahn is very good and very knowledgeable on what he does. He will answer all your questions you throw at him. The inspection report he produced is very professional. And on top of that, his fees are reasonably priced.”

In 1991, Lighthouse Inspections first opened their doors. They have also managed to expand to over 50 locations across Canada, which is impressive.
But they shine in their results, having done over 47,000 inspections. Plus, they have certified inspectors who are also members of the InterNACHI and various professional associations.
Additionally, you get a Certified Master Inspector who is multilingual—they are available in English, Arabic, Russian, and Italian. But this service isn’t guaranteed because not all inspectors are multilingual, so make sure to pick the one you can communicate with.
It’s also incredible that they stick to using progressive technology, which surely makes the inspection efficient and more reliable. It also gave us peace of mind because you can be sure their equipment won’t malfunction.
Their services are residential and commercial inspections, from multi-unit apartment buildings to industrial properties.
From what we’ve seen, their service is very thorough, which is something we want in a building inspector. We also liked how organized their team was, from discussing things with clients to delivering the reports.
It’s a plus that they were very quick with their reports. Some even received their digital files within 24 hours.
All in all, we think they’re an exceptional choice because they’re qualified and have a solid track record. And we have to say we’ve seen their price list, which is affordable.
Pros
- Has Certified Master Inspectors
- Provides multilingual services
- Quick to provide detailed reports
- Prices are affordable
Cons
- Other languages not available in Toronto
Overall customer service is top-notch
“Michael inspected an older home we are looking at purchasing this past weekend and we could not be any happier with his services. He was punctual, friendly and EXTREMELY thorough (which is exactly what you want in an inspector). Michael gladly accepted phone calls to discuss things even days after the inspection. He was very knowledgeable. Highly recommended!!”
Rishi Mehrotra, Google Review
Detailed and straightforward reports
“Knowledgeable, responsive, on time. Report is educational, clear and straight forward. Dealt with Michael and Leo on 2 separate ocasions. Recommend.”

AmeriSpec Inspection Services is one of our top picks because they’re a one-stop shop for all your building inspection needs. It eliminates the need to find another provider since everything is under one roof.
So, here are their services: residential and commercial inspection, mold testing, carbon monoxide testing, asbestos sampling, and indoor air quality services. We like all these because you can be sure your building is safe.
Plus, we like that they also have thermal imaging inspection that can accurately detect issues without the need to tear down your walls. All their offerings just make them accessible to many.
But there’s a hiccup: these services aren’t available in all their branches in Toronto. We did use their Toronto East branch, so it’s a bummer if you live on the other side because their North branch only offers home inspections.
Aa for their training, their certified inspectors have undergone over 80 hours of classroom and hands-on training. And based on what we saw, their inspectors were very thorough and professional.
It’s also nice that the inspectors we spoke with were personable, responsive, and quick to deliver reports—basically known for top-notch service. However, that’s not the case for all branches, which is a letdown.
Still, their Toronto East branch is spectacular based on our experience.
Pros
- Toronto East branch has full services
- Inspectors had classroom and hands-on training
- Plenty of additional services are available
Cons
- Other Toronto branches don’t have full services
- Quality of service depends on the location
Provides plenty of recommendations
“The initial inspection was very insightful and useful. Blair took the time to explain the issues he saw and provided reasonable recommendations for us to consider. Over all, we had a positive experience and would not hesitate to recommend his energy advising services to our friends and family.”
Malavanh C, Google Review
Easy to work with
“Blair is professional, experienced, detailed, and a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend him and his team for property inspections in the GTA area.”
