Chantal’s hits the mark with their in-house alterations team, which is convenient should you need to customize your wedding dress. Once the fitting is perfect, your dress will even be steamed before pickup.

Lastly, their Sundays are for private appointments, and it’s nice that you basically get the place to yourself. So, overall, we think they’re a reliable option.

One of our choices is Diamonds Are A Girl’s Best Friend, a Winnipeg bridal shop that carries off-the-rack dresses you can buy on the same day. This works in your favour should you need immediate availability.

We were pleased with their amazing selection. Since they offer off-the-rack, there are various styles and designs available.

You also get these for a steal because the prices are lower than custom dresses. All off-the-rack bridal dresses cost only $550, which is awesome for the budget.

Just because the prices are low doesn’t mean the quality is subpar. The clients we conversed with loved the selection and quality—many even had a hard time choosing just one dress.

It’s also nice the sizes are from 8 to 24, which is good for inclusivity. However, it’s unfortunate that dresses don’t come in alternate sizes (basically, there’s only one size per dress).

This bridal shop works on an appointment basis only, which is nice because you can have a more personalized consultation. But since the shop isn’t big, you can only bring up to three guests.

For the price and selection, this bridal shop is a solid choice. You don’t have to spend too much time and money looking for the perfect dress.

The thing about Pearl & Birch is they’re all about promoting environmental awareness. You see, they’re the only full-service bridal consignment shop in Winnipeg.

Basically, the majority of their dresses are previously loved, but there are still some new ones with tags. These come in a variety of styles and selections, which is convenient for various preferences.

They’re popular for having affordable wedding dresses, which is nice if you’re looking for a budget-friendly option. It impressed us that you can even get dresses for as low as $500—and their St. Mary’s Road shop has $800 dresses available.

You can also find bridesmaids’ dresses here that cost only $75 to $160, which is awesome if you have a large entourage. The kicker is that the quality of their selection doesn’t feel worn, and many clients said “yes” to their dresses here.

They’re also a go-to for plus-size women because they carry sizes 0 to 28. However, large sizes have limited availability since it’s what sells out the most.

Pearl & Birch accepts walk-ins on weekdays and appointments on weekends. This makes them a fine choice, especially since consultations are free—just don’t forget to click “reserve without paying” in the online form.

The Perfect Gown is well-known in Winnipeg for specializing in plus-size dresses, which is incredible because we understand it’s not easy to find. They carry sizes 12 to 38, but the best part is they can accommodate larger than that if needed.

They still carry smaller sizes, which we appreciate as they remain inclusive. It’s cool that they can still order smaller sizes if that’s what you need.

We like that they have off-the-rack gowns available, which is awesome if you need to take one home immediately. A little issue is that their online selection is incomplete, as most are available in-store.

Still, we like their wide range of selection of designers and styles. Actually, most gowns come in four different colours, which is cool as they can cater to different preferences.

Their accommodating nature is worth highlighting—they can make alterations in a short time for clients flying into Winnipeg. Even though they’re open only five days a week, we like that they’re willing to work around your schedule on request.

All in all, we believe The Perfect Bride is a must-visit for Winnipegger brides-to-be. Plus, this place received the 2024 Top Choice Bridal Boutique by Top Choice Awards, so that’s saying something!

In 1992, 7th Avenue Fashions opened their doors to cater to brides across Manitoba. For us, their years in the industry speak volumes about their expertise and knowledge, which are valuable if you need help.

They’re home to many wedding dress designers, such as Enzoani, Madi Lane Bridal, Stella York, and Amy and Eve. That means they also get to carry exclusive pieces from these designers, which is awesome because there’s a level of rarity that comes with it.

They even have a wide selection of dresses on sale—some costs as low as $799. But it was unfortunate that these discounted gowns come in one size only.

On a positive note, they carry sizes 8 to 22, and these are available for order in sizes 0 to 32. However, there lies a setback, too, since the available sizes to try in-store are limited.

Same-day appointments are also available, which is kind of like a walk-in, so that’s nice for emergency dress try-ons. There’s no need to pay for the appointment as well, which is nice since other bridal shops require a fee.

The only issue we have is the limited availability of sizes, but 7th Avenue Fashions is still a good choice. But they do have a list of trusted bridal seamstresses for alterations!
