Aside from that, we also received reports of unwelcoming behaviour from the clinic’s receptionist. Although those were rare instances, we hope Dr. Whidden took measures to solve this issue.

If you prefer a breast reduction surgeon that can relate to you as a fellow woman, Dr. Farrah Yau might gain your trust and confidence. Dr. Yau is the only female surgeon that offers breast surgery in Canada.

But, being able to relate with the same gender is not the only thing she can offer. Aside from being a licensed surgeon for more than 10 years, Dr. Yau underwent specialized microsurgical training at Buncke Clinic in San Francisco.

Apart from that, she also shares her expertise in plastic surgery with the University of Calgary’s medical and resident students. For us, all of these qualifications are more than enough to reassure her clients about her service’s quality.

Most of Dr. Yau’s client we got in touch with has a more personalized touch under her care. A good example of this is when even on vacation leave, Dr. Yau was able to console one of her patients (diagnosed with breast cancer).

Nothing is more comforting than knowing that your breast reduction surgeon cares about your feelings and goes beyond to hear your concerns.

Should you like to visit Dr. Yau, you will not face any problem in parking as her clinic is at the Southern Alberta Eye Center complex. What surprised us, however, is the lack of parking spots for PWDs, which may cause inconvenience to some.

Also, we highly advise you to avoid visiting during busy hours to avoid competing for parking spaces with clients from other businesses.

Another thing to note is Dr. Yau does not have consistent operation hours for the whole week, unlike other breast reduction clinics. She only accepts patients based on appointments.

Being taken care of by experienced surgical hands in a crucial phase in our lives lessens our worries tenfold. It is a good thing that there is a breast reduction surgeon backed with decades of experience, such as Dr. Wayne R. Perron.

Dr. Perron started his surgical career in 1978. Also, he has special training in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Saskatchewan.

Moreover, Dr. Perron was also a former president of the Canadian Society of Aesthetic Surgery. We found it impressive is he is a member of the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, representing all plastic surgeons in Canada.

When it comes to patient experience, Dr. Perron’s most notable feature is how he exceeds their expectations with the end results of the surgery.

Also, he and his staff are responsive from consultation to granting patients’ requests. For instance, a client mentioned she was feeling cold and later on woke up to a warm towel and pillow on her head.

But, most of his previous patients mentioned that he is not a conversationalist. So, if you are looking for a breast reduction surgeon who is fond of talking, he may not be the right one for you.

Dr. Perron’s clinic has one feature that left a remarkable impression on us: its educational resources. Although those 3-D demo surgical videos may seem normal, this would be helpful for patients to know more about the procedure and be prepared for it.

But, we are sad to share that they only have roadside parking spaces, making parking a competition car during peak hours.

Similar to Dr. Farrah Yau, Dr. Perron is only available through appointment. Thus, they are unable to accommodate clients having emergencies.

Are you looking for a breast reduction surgeon with decades of surgical experience while being in academia and shaping future medical practitioners? You will absolutely like Dr. Earl Campbell of The Plastic Surgery Centre.

Aside from specializing in reconstructive, hand and burn surgery, we also found that Dr. Campbell is also an active clinical professor of Plastic Surgery at the University of Calgary.

In addition, Dr. Campbell was also Program Director of the said university’s Plastic Surgery Residency Training Program for five years. 

Knowing that there is a surgeon that continues to hone his craft and impart his knowledge to new generations is more than reassuring.

Dr. Campbell is friendly and accommodating to their concerns–whether small or grave–according to his patients whom we interviewed. For us, a doctor that devoids patients of any source of distress is a sign that they actually care about their patients.

However, upon researching more about the company, we are saddened to know there were several cases where clients did not receive a follow-up from Dr. Campbell’s staff. 

We hope they solve this issue since it would be troublesome for clients needing immediate breast reduction surgery.

If you have booked an appointment with Dr. Campbell, we are glad to tell you that they have a huge parking space available. However, we did not see any PWD ramps in the office, which would cause inconvenience to some visitors.

Dr. George D. Hamilton is one of the cosmetic surgeons in Calgary with decades of experience in his field. With his career dating back to 1987, you already know you will be in good hands.

Aside from that, Dr. Hamilton is an assistant professor at the Division of Plastic Surgery at the University of Calgary. He is also the Chief of the plastic surgery division at Peter Lougheed Hospital here in Calgary.

After surveying his patients, Dr. Hamilton and his staff are known for being attentive to their queries or requests. The majority of them appreciate receiving notifications on whether they should go to his clinic or office during their appointment day.

Meanwhile, his patient care is known for being equally thorough in explaining the procedure in an understandable language. For us, that is important since breast reduction is a huge turning point in life–especially if it does not end up in the desired result.

Now, if you are planning to visit Dr. Hamilton’s clinic for an appointment, you will face zero problems with parking spaces. They also have food establishments nearby and a spot for PWD in each corner of the parking lot–one is just in front of the doctor’s clinic.

But as a word of advice, avoid visiting during the usual peak business hours. The reason is that other clients from nearby establishments usually occupy some parking spaces.
