On top of that, we appreciate that they cater to both residential and commercial clients. Plus, we like that they cover the whole province of Manitoba!

Their wide range of security and alarm systems impressed us. They offer home and commercial automation, surveillance cameras, detectors, and sensors.

Additionally, we really like their updated technology. They offer smart lock systems, incognito cameras, and microphone-enabled systems.

What’s even better is their solar-powered solutions. It helps keep the energy bills low while keeping your place secured, huh?

We also want to note their monitored detectors and sensors, excellent for the client’s safety. It monitors the temperature, glass breaks, flood, smoke, and carbon monoxide!

JamRock Security’s availability is one of our favourites, as they install any day of the week! Plus, they have three monitoring stations in the country, ensuring they have backups in case of issues.

Overall, we like JamRock Security’s services despite the high rates. Their lowest offer is $25 monthly for residential clients, which doesn’t include the devices and the installation fee. 

Oakley Alarms has been in Winnipeg since 1997, and we admire their dedication to the field! They’re accredited by the BBB, showing their customer-focused approach, in our opinion.

Another aspect we admire is their wide coverage area since they don’t stick to Winnipeg alone. They cater to the surrounding cities, providing more homes and businesses with alarm systems!

Oakley Alarms doesn’t operate on weekends, which is a downside for us. On the bright side, they compensate for it by providing 24/7 monitoring!

For residential clients, we appreciate that they provide smoke, fire, low temperature, and carbon monoxide detectors. One of their unique services is sump pit overflow protection, so you can check before possible water leaks!

They also offer simple doorbell cameras, allowing you to check who’s in front of your door! We like the option of installing it on your existing doorbell wiring or opt for an upgrade!

Additionally, we like their full-control smart home automation. It gives you full access to your home, which is useful when you’re away!

Plus, it lets you control the locks, temperature, and lights straight from your phone. We also like that it alerts you when someone enters your home.

The best thing? You can install the smart home system for your business! It definitely adds another layer of security, eh?

The last feature we like is their personal monitoring system. It’s an ideal security system for seniors, so you can check on them even when away.

As a whole, we like Oakley Alarms for their alarm system options. But we’d like to see more improvement on follow-up requests, which we heard a few issues with from some clients.

DSI Security Systems has been around for over 25 years. They cater to Winnipeg’s residential and commercial areas.

What caught our attention is that they work with government and national defence agencies! As we see it, that experience speaks about their reputation and the service quality!

Their team deserves special mention due to their high qualifications. They have engineers and system designers on board, ensuring seamless security system integration!

Additionally, we think it’s impressive that they have a ULC (Underwriters Laboratories of Canada) listed central monitoring facility. It entails real-time monitoring 24/7—and it helps that it’s secure!

Another favourite of ours is the many services they offer, from homes to offices to vehicles! Their alarm systems are available for RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) security devices and biometric systems—ideal for offices and businesses.

Plus, they provide remote video and 2-way live voice verification. It’s useful when you’re away from home, no?

It’s worth noting that they provide alarm systems for vehicles. We appreciate their theft protection, GPS location, and remote disable—it’s like an on-the-go alarm system!

While we like DSI Security System’s services, we find it iffy that they are closed on weekends. Sadly, you need to take a day off for alarm system installation and upgrades.

We were also disappointed to hear reports of delayed responses regarding system issues and incorrect billing. We’ve seen significant improvement since then, though!

Since 1981, Winnipeg Alarm Co has served the city’s residential and commercial clients. That’s over four decades of experience, which we commend!

They specialize in alarms, video surveillance, and intercoms. However, we noticed they offer a limited selection of security systems than other alarm companies in Winnipeg.

Highlighting their positive aspect, we appreciate their user-friendly alarm systems. Their devices are straightforward and easy to understand—ideal for non-techy clients!

Additionally, Winnipeg Alarm Co offers monitored systems. They have a fire, low-temperature, and water detectors.

Perhaps our favourite feature is their panic monitoring system. It comes with a wireless panic button that sends alerts to their central monitoring system if you feel unsafe!

Furthermore, they have a medical key fob that we think is ideal for senior citizens or persons with disabilities. It will alert their monitoring team should there be a medical emergency.

What’s more, they provide intercom systems that can be installed in every room. Aside from convenience, it’s ideal to add to your doorbell camera so you know who’s in front of the door.

A downside we found in Winnipeg Alarm Co is their limited availability. While they are open five days a week, they are unavailable on weekends—not convenient for busy clients.

An aspect that stands out for us is their seamless integration of security systems. They make indoor systems and outdoor surveillance.

K&S Electronics Security uses advanced technology by providing smart home security systems, which we commend. Aside from alarms, they also provide smart locks and motion sensors to ensure client safety!

Moreover, we like their use ClareOne smart wireless security, featuring a touchscreen panel that captures a photo each time someone deactivates it. Plus, we like that it has an ecosystem so clients can control it using various devices.

Another highlight is their AI Active Deterrence, which has face capture and perimeter protection. What amazed us is it accurately recognizes people and vehicles to verify possible risks.

Although we admire their use of state-of-the-art technology, we were iffy upon hearing reports of subpar customer service. Nevertheless, we were glad to see improvement since then!

Lastly, they are not available for weekend installs and upgrades. That’s a bummer for clients with busy work weeks.
