For example, their wig services are very extensive, offering cuts, colour, and styling. The customisation is impeccable, as they can make a wig look brand new, even when it’s full of bald spots already.

The selection of synthetic and human hair is also impressive. It’s easy to find a wig that’ll look best on you (and will meet your budget) because their inventory is massive, which comes in various colours, types, and lengths.

We’re being nitpicky here, but an online booking system would be nice for a smoother process. But that’s okay, since Hair a la Mode compensates for their responsiveness and accommodating nature—they even welcome clients without an appointment.

We still suggest booking for a guaranteed spot, even for the free consultations. They’re accessible, anyway, since we had no problem finding a parking spot in front of the boutique!

Paula’s Wig Boutique is all about restoring their clients’ confidence by offering quality products. Frankly, they didn’t disappoint.

From what we’ve seen, their wigs are of really good quality, focusing on using European human hair. They mainly source Slavic hair from Ukraine and its surrounding areas, which we have to admit, makes smooth and comfortable wigs.

Their wig salon also caught our attention because they offer full services, including wash, cut, style, and colour. On top of that, they make wigs from scratch, ensuring you can have one that fits exactly like it was made for you.

Even better, they help clients undergoing medical hair loss keep their locks by using their own clients’ hair to make wigs!

It’s a bummer their opening hours are limited to four days a week. At least they offer no-obligation consultations, where they don’t rush their clients, which is awesome for those unsure of what to get yet.

During our surveys, we were surprised at how good the quality of their wigs was. It wasn’t surprising once we found out that they use Remy human hair, providing a natural look that doesn’t look fake!

And because of their full wig salon services, they can make wigs look natural on their clients. Their bespoke services mean they can accommodate your styling preferences, including matching your own hair’s texture and colour.

In addition, they can repair your wigs, especially those from wear and tear! This wig boutique serves every customisation you need!

It helps that their location in downtown Toronto makes them accessible. Sadly, their in-person consultation isn’t free, and there’s an additional fee if it lasts longer than 60 minutes.

Nonetheless, the fee is credited towards your wig purchase. The consultation is very thorough anyway.

Their wig services are available for men and women. Judging by what we’ve observed, their wigs look natural because of their customised process.

One example is their completely bespoke services that start with mold making, ensuring that the wig is 100% made for you from the very beginning!

Their stock wigs aren’t bad, though. They’re really good, actually, because they offer many synthetic and human hair options for every style and budget.

The privacy at this wig boutique deserves a spotlight. Their shop has a locked-door environment if you prefer a consultation that’s more discreet.

Sadly, they don’t have weekend hours and don’t accommodate walk-ins. It’s not a big deal since they have an easy booking system online, and their consultations (including 2nd look sessions) are free!
