MVR Landscaping immediately caught our eye when we saw their portfolio, consisting of multiple properties of different sizes. However, what impressed us wasn’t the volume of proven work, but the variety of styles and designs they offered.

We also interviewed their previous clients, and were met with positive reviews regarding MVR’s process. They told us how hands-on the team was from the planning stage up until the actual bricklaying.

Satisfied clients also told us how quickly their porches and driveways were done, with some even saying that it only took two or three days. Plus, they noted how knowledgeable the workers were, often providing tips on how to maintain interlocking pavers.

Our interest grew larger when we saw how affordable their rates were compared to the usual range in the market, especially considering the quality of their workmanship. In fact, some clients told us that their driveways still looked brand new years after getting serviced.

They’re just closed on Sundays, but they’re quick to respond to inquiries!

We also got our backyard sod replaced by Simon, and for the front yard, we went with another well-known Sod installation company, as Simon had a busy schedule.

When we discovered that Kingsway Paving lent their services to the Metro Toronto Zoo, we knew they were the real deal! We also looked at their residential projects, graciously provided by our interviewees, and we were impressed with the quality of their output.

For starters, clients were pleased with how seamless their driveways looked after installing interlocking pavers in place of the asphalt. They highlighted the attention to detail, as the tiles perfectly went with the curvature of their driveways and walkways.

We also want to commend the workers of Kingsway because they always show up on time. They were also noted for being courteous, often providing constant updates throughout the project and even providing free tips on how to maintain their newly installed pavers.

Our only gripe here is that the selection of services is slightly limited compared to other companies, as they only offer interlocking pavers and asphalt paving. However, we do want to say that they execute these two tasks exceptionally.

Our residential driveway is long, and Kingsway’s crew was on time, friendly and efficient. Prep was done in the morning, and later in the month, the driveway was done in a day. 

They also did some culvert work. The best part is that they don’t scrimp on the asphalt thickness: 3″ compacted is 3″ compacted, so the work will last for years. Highly recommend Kingsway.”

We saw Action Home Services’ 10+ years of experience in full display in their online gallery. From what we’ve gathered, they’ve worked on different scales from mansions to commercial properties, duplexes, etc.

One thing that immediately stood out to us while browsing their portfolio was the sleek designs of their projects, regardless of whether they were patios, driveways, or pathways. This was also pointed out by their previous clients in our interview, highlighting the contractor’s creative vision.

We also appreciate that Action Home Services offers repair services for already existing interlocking pavers, even if they weren’t the ones who installed them. It can be pricey depending on how many square feet the damage is, but we do appreciate that they offer free estimates.

Their workers deserve flowers as well, as our interviewees noted how smooth it was to work with them. We did notice that they take much longer compared to other landscapers, but once we saw the output, we immediately understood why.

Milton Stone was one of our initial prospects because of their proven work, which consisted of clean and seamless designs. We also reached out to previous clients, and they were kind enough to send us before and after photos, and it was the same story as the company’s gallery.

Clients also told us how knowledgeable the workers were during the initial planning. For instance, they’d respectfully counter the clients’ ideas for something that would better suit their space, budget, taste, etc.

The workers were also noted as being extremely courteous, as they always arrived on time and cleaned up after themselves.

Our favourite thing about Milton Stone, however, is its wide variety of landscaping services. Aside from interlocking pavers, they also offer pools, retaining walls, woodworks, masonry, and pool building.

The seamless and lavish designs of Milton Stone don’t come cheap, though, which is also its biggest kryptonite. Fortunately, this is somewhat made up for by the transparent pricing and free estimates.

Right off the bat, Great Canadian Interlock impressed us with their durable pavers. We interviewed homeowners they’ve worked with, and they told us how they have never had their pavers repaired since being installed.

If the need arises, however, Great Canadian Interlock offers cheap and easy repairs that won’t damage the neighbouring paves.

We also appreciate how the contractors offer a smooth-flowing program with their services, which starts with a phone call or a free estimate via their official website. From there, they provide constant updates throughout the project.

Our interviewees noted how they felt listened to during the consultation process, with the landscapers even choosing styles that would suit the property best.
