They focus on luxury designs but still manage to provide modern and functional layouts, where there’s no corner left unused. From what we’ve observed, their workmanship is exceptional and of high standards.

They started as a boutique contractor, which is probably why they still offer a personalised service—something we approve of! Their team has shown excellent collaborative skills by offering advice and always listening to clients.

We noticed, however, that their construction services are more for luxury homes. But, the silver lining is that their offerings are comprehensive, and they even offer Smart Renovations that are perfect for any home.

Finally, we’re glad to find from our surveys that Platinum Contracting’s great at sticking to the timeline so your budget won’t have to stretch longer!

The expertise of Marino General Contracting began in 1989, which is just a few years shy of four decades! That makes them highly qualified in our books!

This family-owned and operated construction company specialises in home building and renovations, catering to Vancouver and the Lower Mainland. Although commercial projects aren’t their main focus, they’re still equipped to handle those.

One of our favourite things is the Marino Method, which is what they call their process. This involves detailed planning to ensure open communication, on-schedule completion, and budget transparency.

Based on our client surveys, they do exactly what they promise. The majority of the clients we spoke with had a smooth experience from start to finish, which shows the team’s good customer service, even if they’re closed on weekends.

That’s not a problem at all because the most important part is their workmanship and attention to detail. We didn’t hear negative reports about their builds!

The Canadian-owned and operated Level One Construction has over 20 years of experience in the industry. All these years in the business mean they know how to provide quality workmanship, which they can back up!

When we spoke with their clients, we learned that these guys were very consistent with their work. The customer service is also impressive, as they always kept clients in the loop.

Upon checking their projects, we found that they specialise in renovations for residential and commercial spaces. Frankly, we love what we’ve seen, especially since they managed to stick within the budget.

However, they’re not ideal for new builds since they specialise in remodels. They’re also closed on weekends, so their accessibility takes a hit.

Still, when it comes to the level of workmanship and creativity, they’re definitely up there! The innovative designs sure are a plus because of how well they can build and transform a space, from chaotic to functional.

Project was incredibly well-done

We had to have our ceiling in our West End apartment preemptively repaired because of a ceiling collapse that occurred with one of our neighbors because the ceilings that were part of the original construction in the 1950’s were not done as securely as would have been done nowadays. The whole project from the planning and discussion, the removal of the old ceiling and installation of the new ceiling and fixtures together with the painting and cleanup was incredibly well done. Kennedy Construction has a wide coverage area, catering to Vancouver and the Lower Mainland. We also like that they specialise in custom builds and renovations, giving them a larger clientele and showing their level of expertise in construction.

We’re not surprised, though, since Kennedy Construction has over 20 years of experience. Based on our observations when checking their projects, they have incredible workmanship!

Most of the clients we conversed with appreciated the contractor’s high standards, resulting in beautiful, functional spaces that were exactly what they envisioned, which is a huge plus in our books!

We also want to note that this is a construction company that sticks to the schedule! When there were adjustments to the timeline and budget, clients were always informed.

Unfortunately, they don’t cater to commercial projects. But for residential clients, they’re a solid choice because of their transparency and quality of work!

What we like about CDC Construction is that they’re a full-service company. They do construction management and general contracting, so they can build and design just what you need.

They opened in 1984 and have completed an impressive over $900 million in projects! That’s a big number, and they did all that in the Lower Mainland!

The catch is that they’re not a residential construction company. They specialise in commercial projects for various industries, like healthcare, retail, and financial institutions.

Their comprehensive approach is worth highlighting. Since they’re full-service, they’ll handle all aspects, from pre-design to post-instruction inspections!

Plus, we appreciate the way these contractors handle things. Most clients were impressed by how thorough their services were, which is awesome for a smooth and trouble-free experience!

A minor downside is their office is closed on weekends, so accessibility isn’t 100%. Then again, they’ve been responsive to our inquiries, which evens out the issue!
