One of the aspects we like is the team’s knowledge when helping Canadian businesses. Over the years, they’ve impressively serviced over 20,000 businesses and farms.

It’s worth mentioning that they offer a free 15-minute consultation. It’s also convenient because the client can choose to have a phone, video, or chat consultation.

We also find it incredible that they offer a membership, which we think is suitable for businesses. It provides a tonne of convenience, so business owners can keep their taxes on track without worrying about it every day.

Understandably, some businesses tend to overlook keeping complete records of financial transactions due to swamped schedules. And that’s why we like that the membership offers unlimited support to avoid situations like this.

Moreover, FBC still caters to clients who don’t want to get a membership. For us, this is useful for those needing one-time bookkeeping support.

But we were disappointed to hear that some clients had incorrect tax filings, resulting in penalties. Nonetheless, they’ve made significant progress over the past couple of years.

One of the aspects we like about the West Edmonton franchise is the team’s expertise in different tax services. They are also well-experienced in different types of businesses, resulting in a vast clientele.

Moreover, they accept individuals, too. So, sole proprietors or freelancers can hire them for assistance. 

We also appreciate the free consultation. They offer this for 30 minutes, which we feel is enough for clients to gauge the possible working relationship.

On a positive note, they offer specialized bookkeeping services. We find this beneficial since not all businesses are the same, and keeping financial records will also vary depending on the company.

In addition, they offer these monthly, quarterly, semi-annually, and annually. In our opinion, these selections allow for flexibility, so clients can hire them only when needed.

A minor concern is since Padgett Business Services have numerous franchises that are locally operated, the quality of service will depend on the branch.

On the plus side, many clients of the West Edmonton franchise have praised the team’s professional service. They were knowledgeable and accommodating, which are qualities we like in a bookkeeper.

Preferred Client Services has been in business since 1998. It offers a wide variety of services, from payroll to training clients in keeping their financial records.

Moreover, the training services are excellent for clients who want to learn how to keep their financial records updated and organized. It’s a unique service we found since not many bookkeeping companies in Edmonton has it.

It’s worth highlighting that they have quite a large team compared to similar services in the city. We see this as an advantage since they can cater to many clients, even during busy tax seasons.

In addition, they offer temporary bookkeeping to help business owners for a while. The way we see it, this is great for companies with on-leave bookkeepers to keep records updated daily.

As for their services, they offer a huge variety for people with different financial needs. Further, they have experience in bookkeeping software for efficient tracking of accounts.

But one of the best aspects we found is the free one-hour consultation. The reason is that this is longer than other services in Edmonton.

On the downside, some clients mentioned that while Preferred Client Services initially provided a strong working relationship, they felt it dwindled slightly over time.

Also, they could improve on communicating with clients. Unfortunately, some had a few misunderstandings due to insufficient updates.

Nevertheless, we admire that they own up to mistakes because we’ve seen a considerable improvement since then.

It has expanded its services, too. Now, the team caters to clients from any province in Canada.

Furthermore, we find it really useful that clients from other regions can hire them because of its convenience. Even their Edmonton clients that move to a different city can continue working with them, which is a big plus!

We also appreciate the free consultation, which is beneficial for clients to check the bookkeeper’s approach before continuing with the service.

As for the services, we like the complete bookkeeping list for businesses or sole proprietors. Considering that there will be penalties for late filings, it’s great that they manage to keep financial records updated.
