Pros

  • Has three locations in Toronto
  • Easily accessible via the TTC
  • Has no reservation and cancellation fees
  • Doesn’t require long-term contracts
  • Available for daily rentals
  • Has heated and temperature-controlled units

Cons

  • Not all units have 24/7 access

What we like most about XYZ Storage is its three locations in Toronto: downtown, midtown, and west. It’s a highly accessible storage unit facility and is open every single day!

Additionally, we found it convenient that it caters to residential and business storage solutions. It made us happy that many Torontonians can access the facility!

Also, we found the business storage units really convenient because of the many amenities. You can access free Wi-Fi, a workspace, shredders, custom racking installation, free on-site parking, and package delivery services!

As for the residential units, we appreciate that moving supplies are available on-site, truck rental, and indoor drive-through. Let’s not forget the flexible unit setup, which we think can give you more space!

XYZ Storage has four sizes of self storage units, plus a one-car parking unit that can fit an RV or a boat! These different sizes allow you to choose the most cost-effective solution—ideal for the long term!

Plus, we appreciate the availability of both heated and climate-controlled units. It helps protect your valuables from humidity and temperature changes!

On top of that, we appreciate that some self storage units have fire and smoke alarms. Let’s not forget the 24/7 security, giving you peace of mind that your items are safe.

For us, the best part about XYZ Storage is the free reservation, no required deposits, and no cancellation fees. You can even pay on a daily or monthly basis instead of a long-term contract, which makes storage affordable for Torontonians!

Although we appreciate the 24/7 storage access, it’s sadly not available for all units. On the bright side, all XYZ Storage locations are accessible via the TTC—good for an easy commute after work!

Lastly, we commend XYZ Storage for keeping all locations clean! That’s an important aspect to keep critters away from the facilities!

Pros

  • Has multiple locations in Toronto
  • Offers portable storage
  • No long-term contracts
  • Has highly secure facilities

Cons

  • Not all facilities have 24/7 access
  • Not all portable storage available on weekends
  • Requires a minimum 4-week rental

Access Storage caught our attention because it has multiple locations in Toronto! It’s a highly accessible storage unit, no matter where you live in the city—it has over 130 locations across the region!

We appreciate the available climate-controlled units. It keeps your belongings safe from the weather changes in Toronto, essential for securing documents and furniture.

Moreover, we like that there are tonnes of unit sizes available for different needs. You can even rent one that’s big enough for a three-bedroom home or if you need to park your vehicle for the winter.

Security-wise, we appreciate Access Storage for having gated access, security cameras, and individual security codes. Add 24/7 security, and no stranger can access the facility, keeping your precious items safe!

A unique offering is portable storage. The Access Storage staff will deliver the container to your location so you can pack and store your belongings there.

After that, the staff will come back and drive the container away! While that’s convenient, we hope it’s available daily as only selected locations in Toronto offer it on weekends.

Sadly, not all facilities have 24-hour access. It’s a good thing there are multiple Toronto branches so you can choose the most convenient access hours.

Finally, we appreciate that there are no long-term contracts as you only need to pay on a 4-week cycle. But keep in mind that there’s a minimum of four-week rental, which isn’t ideal if you just need a one-time storage.

Pros

  • All storage units are heated
  • 90% of units are on the ground floor
  • Doesn’t need long-term contracts
  • Offers various online promotions

Cons

  • Only one location in Toronto
  • No 24/7 access
  • Requires a minimum of 4-week rental

We included Migson Public Storage on our list because of the convenient assortment of units available. There are storage options that allow for more stacking, which means you can add more items.

A favourite aspect of ours is that all units are heated. Yes, all of them! That’s a unique feature since most self storage facilities offer heated units for a more expensive fee.

That’s not all! Around 90% of the units are conveniently located on the ground floor. We were happy to learn about this because there’s no need to worry about moving things up and down the stairs.

Another convenient feature is the enclosed loading docks. It keeps you safe from the weather, no?

Migson Public Storage also offers locks and packing supplies on-site. We found that ideal if you’re moving since there’s no need to worry about late deliveries if you order online.

It’s worth noting that you’re not required to sign a long-term contract. Unfortunately, Migson Public Storage requires a minimum rental agreement of four weeks.

The silver lining is the affordability. That’s why we suggest buying a unit online because of the promotions, including a $25 off coupon!

Migson Public Storage is a safe and convenient facility for us due to the controlled access, ensuring no criminals can enter. We just hope it can expand to more branches and add 24/7 access in the future.

Pros

  • All storage units are indoors
  • All units are climate-controlled
  • No long-term commitment

Cons

  • No 24/7 access
  • Closed on Sundays

Toronto’s Weston Self Storage earns a spot because it’s a pretty straightforward service. We like how easy the process is, from renting a unit to locking it!

We also love how clean the space is. Once you enter the facility, you’ll be greeted by the Weston staff, who are available whenever you have questions.

What sets Weston Self Storage apart is that all units are located indoors. As a result, you don’t have to worry about rain or snow while loading your items—you’re safe even in the winter!

Furthermore, the advantage of having all indoor units is that they’re all climate-controlled. We like that you don’t have to rent a more expensive self storage to protect your belongings—ideal if you don’t have a lot of things.

On top of that, we really appreciate the security at Weston Self Storage. Besides having no outdoor units, all have security systems to safeguard against lawbreakers!

However, we were disappointed that Weston Self Storage is only open six days a week and has no 24-hour access. We guess those things are worth sacrificing for a secure facility.

Still, we appreciate that there’s no long-term commitment at Weston Self Storage. If you want more features, you can cancel without worrying about contract disputes—there’s no pressure!

Pros

  • Ontario’s second-largest storage facility
  • Has 24/7 access
  • Offers storage pick-up and delivery
  • Has patio furniture storage
  • Provides LAUFT workspaces

Cons

  • Requires minimum rental of 4 weeks

With multiple locations in Ontario, Vaultra Storage is an accessible service for us. There are two facilities in Toronto, in Castlefield and the east.

A notable aspect of the Castlefield facility is its huge; by that, we mean Ontario’s second-largest storage facility! That’s a big deal, isn’t it?

With it, you get 24/7 access, which is great news because not all Vaultra Storage facilities offer that. So, that’s a win for Toronto residents!

Plus, the security at Vaultra Storage is no joke. We appreciate that there are IP cameras with motion sensors to keep the facility secure.

Furthermore, we found the amenities incredible. There are climate-controlled storage units, which most on the upper floors are!

We also like the convenience you get because of the indoor drive-through bay, keeping you safe from the weather. There’s also a U-Haul truck rental if you need a bigger vehicle.

But if you’re busy, you can rely on the flat-rate storage pick-up and delivery. The Vaultra staff will do all the heavy lifting for you!

Additionally, there’s a patio storage service that won’t require you to do the heavy lifting again. The staff will come to you, pack your patio furniture, and store it in the storage unit—ideal for winter seasons.

For businesses, we commend Vaultra Storage for providing a no-commitment smart workspace through a partnership with LAUFT. It’s like a co-working space inside a storage facility—an all-in-one destination for small businesses!

Clearly, we think Vaultra Storage is one of the best in Toronto. There’s just a minimum rental of four weeks, unfortunately.
