Dr. Fouad Ebrahim is known as one of the best orthodontists in Calgary. He graduated from Queen’s University and completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery at the University of Toronto.

We also learned that he graduated at the top of his class and was the recipient of the Dean’s Gold Medal.

He is the primary orthodontist at Family Braces in Calgary, having already treated more than 6,000 patients successfully. Some of the orthodontic services he offers include clear (ceramic) and hidden braces, bite corrections, and many more.

What we love about his clinic is that they provide a free consultation that includes photos, X-rays, and an oral examination. This adds incredible value as some dental clinics charge extra simply for taking oral X-rays.

Additionally, you don’t need to have a referral. Just call or book through their page and you can expect a prompt callback, which is great.

His clinic offers high-quality care at a reasonable rate, with interest-free payment options starting at $149 per month with a $250 down payment. 

Plus, his clinic also provides various financing alternatives to assist patients in finding a payment plan that fits within their budget.

We just wish that he would open his weekends on an appointment basis to accommodate patients who have work on weekdays. 

Dr. Nadia Nizam earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery and her Master of Clinical Dentistry in Orthodontics, which makes her one of the most credible orthodontists in Calgary.

We learned that she has membership in local, national, and international associations, speaking volumes about her growing network.

Apparently, education is also part of her values as she runs her own study club where she educates general dentists and their staff on the importance of orthodontics. She also provides tips on when to refer patients to a specialist.

Her clinic, Impressions Orthodontics, is known as one of the best clinics in Calgary from staff to facility. Services there include Invisalign, Invisalign Teen, Damon Braces, and other orthodontic treatments.

What we like about Impressions Orthodontics is that it provides flexible monthly payments for as low as $150. 

However, note that rates are reasonably dependent on the severity of the case, the type of equipment to be used, and the length of the treatment.

We also learned that they use advanced technology such as digital X-rays and 3D dental imaging, which speeds up procedures and boosts efficiency.

We were just disappointed to hear that they only dedicate three days of the week to patient care—Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

With 20 years of experience under his belt, Dr. Warren Cohen is one of the most sought-after orthodontists in Calgary. 

He is part of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada and a member of the Alberta Dental Association and College, and the Canadian Dental Association.

Dr. Cohen provides a wide range of orthodontic services, such as metal braces, clear braces, invisible or hidden braces, Invisalign, and orthognathic or jaw surgery.

We’re mightily impressed that his clinic, Surrideo Orthodontics, has its own iTero System scanning technology, which efficiently and instantly creates devices and treatment plans for their patients.

We also appreciate their free in-person and virtual examinations for pre-procedure assessment. Patients get to choose either of the two options for their convenience. 

While we hear that their rates are generally reasonable, you’ll need to request a free exam or virtual exam for the specific fees applicable to your unique case.

That being said, it would have been good if they provided ballpark figures for each of their major services to at least give patients an idea of what to expect financially.

We recommend that you consult with Dr. Cohen either virtually or in person during weekdays, as his clinic is not open on weekends.

Dr. Salmansi is one of Calgary’s most reputable pediatric orthodontists. After graduating from McGill with a dental degree, he entered the Hospital Dental Residency program at Vancouver’s British Columbia Children’s Hospital (BCCH).

He has treated around 3,500 patients and counting. Parents of many of these patients commend him for his ability to connect with kids and make them feel at ease.

His clinic Smile Buddy is well-designed with its young patients in mind. We ourselves felt at ease upon seeing playgrounds inside where children can have fun while waiting for their turn to see him.

We love that they provide the option to schedule appointments online. This is the right approach given that they are dealing with busy parents, who need all sorts of logistical planning just to get their kids to the dentist.

However, they only have a small team in comparison to other clinics. But since we haven’t come across any issues regarding manpower, it seems they’re doing a great job accommodating patients on a daily basis.

We think that it would help if they provided estimates of their dental services. Parents would probably be able to prepare their budgets better and feel less scattered during the appointment, where they would probably be busy reassuring their anxious kids.

One of the most dedicated orthodontists in Calgary is Dr. Kelly Brooke.

Not only is he skilled at his job, he also channels these skills to give back. We found out that he is also a volunteer orthodontist who traveled throughout South America to help impoverished children with their dental problems.

We learned that Dr. Brooke examines, diagnoses, and treats dental malocclusions and oral cavity malformations. He also designs and fabricates appliances that work to straighten the teeth and jaws, restoring and preserving normal function while also improving appearance.

Patients commend him and his staff for consistently providing a stress-free experience. This is quite the compliment, given that most patients are anxious when they visit the dentist.

We also hear that their staff go the extra mile to assist patients at every step of the appointment. It’s nice to know that patients are well taken care of before and after their procedures, as they do remember these aspects of the experience.

The clinic also has an online appointment system, which just adds to the overall convenience of the experience. 

Patients take advantage of their free consultation, which not all clinics offer. It’s a great way to find out about the state of their teeth and what options they can consider in terms of treatment or maintenance.

Although they do offer financing options, they didn’t disclose the specific figures and arrangements on their website. We would advise patients to enquire with them directly for their specific service.
