We like Luxii Health Spa because they’re open six days a week, making them an accessible place to visit for Ottawans with busy schedules. They’re easy to commute to as well, with a bus stop just several steps away.

Upon entering this medical spa, we appreciated how we were greeted with a clean and bright environment. It’s a nice, relaxing space, which we really enjoyed.

It’s a massive plus that they have an accommodating staff. Even past clients loved how professional the staff was, as they were knowledgeable about the treatments and easy to talk to.

Luxii Health Spa is also a one-stop shop, which is one of their positive aspects. It’s because they offer a wide array of services, from facials to hair removals to injectables.

Furthermore, we were impressed that they offer cryotherapy and compression—quite unique as other med spas in Ottawa don’t offer these. It’s where the body is exposed to really cold temperatures and provides many benefits for the body.

Another service we really like is LED therapy, a non-invasive procedure to help lessen fine lines. Plus, the advantage of this treatment is there’s no recovery time since it’s not painful.

Regarding the rates, we like how reasonably priced they are. With a membership, their services are even more affordable due to discounts.

But the catch is the membership requires a 6-month commitment, which we found is a long time for what’s supposed to be a month-to-month contract. But after that, clients can cancel anytime they want.

The convenient thing about Peppermint Organic Spa + Laser Medi Spa that we really like is their daily availability. It makes them an ideal option for Ottawans with busy work schedules.

Their clinic is also quite unique because they’re in a beautiful heritage building (that looks like a house!). The interior feels like a restored home but adds a certain charm to it as it feels homey.

A downside we found is they’re not easily accessible for commuters since their location is in a small town in Ottawa’s rural area. On a good note, driving to their clinic from downtown will only take 15 to 20 minutes. 

Peppermint Organic Spa offers many beauty and skin procedures, including spa treatments, vascular lesion removal, laser hair removal, and microdermabrasion procedures. Kind of like a one-stop shop, eh?

Plus, they offer couples treatments for clients who want to have the procedure side by side. We also appreciate the ambiance of the couple’s suite, which includes a fireplace for a relaxing and romantic touch.

Even better is they use Eminence Organic, which is a green company. As the name suggests, these products are made from organic ingredients and don’t contain chemicals.

Although we love their offerings, we found them to be slightly pricier than other medical spas in Ottawa. Their laser hair removal for full arms costs $220, and that doesn’t include hands and fingers.

Danesthetics Medical Design piqued our interest because of their very hands-on and welcoming approach. Each client gets served with a beverage upon entering the clinic, which may not sound like a lot, but it speaks about their excellent customer service.

Impressively, founder Dan Julien is triple-certified by the Canadian Board of Aesthetic Medicine (CBAM). He’s a nurse practitioner who provides a complimentary consultation that includes a full evaluation of the client’s face—convenient, eh?

The main thing we like about this evaluation, which is also available virtually, is the client will be fully informed about the procedure. Julien will give realistic expectations, which we commend as he doesn’t oversell his services.

As for the treatments, we appreciate that Danesthetics Medical Design offers many skin treatments using state-of-the-art technology. These include dermal fillers, microneedling, laser therapy, and hair loss treatments.

One of their standout services is Aerolase Neo Elite laser, which has established itself as a new gold standard for many aesthetic and medical treatments. This procedure can help with acne, hyperpigmentation, scars, and even stretch marks. 

However, they currently don’t offer this laser treatment for hair removal. It’s a bummer, but we’re glad they’re working on adding it in the future!

The last drawback we found is their operating hours. Unfortunately, they’re only open five days a week, but the good thing is that includes Saturdays.

The unique aspect of Nakota MediSpa is they operate as a home-based spa. Because of that, they have the advantage of catering to clients for a longer period of time instead of being confined to specific schedules.

Then again, it also means they can only accept a limited number of clients each day. So, for us, that’s a minor downside since it also restricts their schedules.

Now, being a home-based spa doesn’t mean they can’t offer many services. We were glad to find out they have many advanced treatments for various skin issues, such as microneedling, facials, skin tightening, skin lesion removal, and hair growth.

However, we were iffy that Nakota MediSpa doesn’t have laser hair removal. It was quite surprising for us since most medical spas in Ottawa offer this.

Let’s talk about one of our favourite services, OxyGeneo facials—a 3-in-1 treatment with zero downtime and is suitable for all skin types. We like that it also uses vegan, cruelty-free ingredients because our team is all for ethical skincare!

Another popular service is TriPollar skin tightening, a cutting-edge and non-invasive treatment that uses radio frequency technology to achieve maximum results. Besides reducing fine lines, we like that it’s also ideal for contouring the jawline and cheekbones.

Finally, we appreciate Nakota MediSpa for offering competitively-priced packages. A full-face TriPollar lift is only $225, which is lower than other medical spas we went to.
