We have to talk about her home studio, which has a cozy vibe. We like how sanitary she is, always wearing a mask and using disposable gloves.

Price-wise, we found them reasonable, especially considering the quality of the eyelash extensions. Not the most affordable, but not expensive as well.

Our only issues are her studio is not easily accessible via public transport (there’s free street parking, though!) and she’s only open 4 days a week. But in the end, she’s still worth going to.

So, what they offer are lash extensions, brow services, lash lift and tint, waxing, and cosmetic tattoos. They offer classic, heavy, medium, light, blended, and mega volume eyelash extensions.

On top of that, they also offer lash baths, coloured lashes, foreign fills. You can also book other beauty services for waxing and brows, which makes them a one-stop shop.

We also love how experienced their lash artists are—they have senior and junior lash technicians.

They’re also not a one-man team, which is an advantage when it comes to scheduling conflicts. However, the quality and precision of application will vary since we witnessed some lashes fall quickly and some did not.

But it’s nice they can provide different kinds of eyelash extension styles, whether you’re looking for a natural or a bold look. We even saw that they gave advice on what style would look best without hard-selling.

They’re even accessible with their 3 locations in Calgary (Victoria Park, South Trail, and Montgomery). It’s just a bummer that not all their studios are open daily.

Still, they’re a good choice to consider. Even with their really stylish studios, their price list is surprisingly not as expensive as we initially thought.

The artist behind Tokyo Beauté is Hikari Kimura, a certified lash technician in Calgary, whom our team keeps going back to because of her natural-looking eyelash technique.

We noticed that even when our colleagues went for full volume extensions, the results still looked natural. It’s actually awesome because Kimura doesn’t overdo the eyelash extensions.

As for her services, she offers classic natural lash extensions, 3D wispy light volume extensions, 5D full volume extensions, lash lift, and lash removal. And based on what we’ve seen, her application technique is excellent.

Basically, we noticed how well she communicated with our colleagues to ensure they were happy and comfortable. She also has the lightest hands during the application process—there was no burning sensation.

We also found her rates reasonable, which is good news if you go regularly for eyelash extensions. A full set of classic natural lash extensions is only $140, while the 5D full volume is $180.

Plus, we think the prices are fair, considering the eyelash extensions have great retention. A hiccup is the non-refundable $50 deposit for full sets, but it’s transferrable should you need to reschedule with 48 hours of notice.

Although her home studio is in a residential area and not as easily accessible as we hoped, it’s very comfortable and clean inside—you can even ask for a blanket and pillow.

Lash Culture at Deer Valley Market Place is open seven days a week, which is really handy for your beauty needs. Even with a busy schedule, you can find an appointment because they have a lot of slots.

They have experienced lash experts, and you can get your preferred style because their team (they have 6 lash technicians) all have their own specializations and expertise.

An added bonus is they provide training programs. It does show their team’s knowledge and experience.

It’s also cool that their lash technicians have friendly personalities. It was refreshing to enter a shop and find it very inviting.

Service-wise, we like the variety. They offer lash sets for natural classic, hybrid, dramatic classic, full volume, light volume, and mega volume.

Besides those, they also provide lash fills, lash removal, and design upgrades. We want to highlight the last one because you can opt for a unique look with your eyelashes—there’s a spiked and wet look, or you can add a pop of colour.

Their studio is pretty cute and has complete amenities, including a washroom and several rooms for complete privacy, which we really like. It’s not as public transport-friendly as we preferred, but there are plenty of parking slots.

Even though there’s a required deposit for the eyelash extensions (it’s just $20, though), the pricing remains fair, considering the excellent quality of their service.
