What we like the most about Oliver Professional Dog and Cat Grooming Spa is that their groomer is exceptionally great with handling dogs, whether gentle or wild — like Winnipeg’s dog whisperer.

We feel relieved that anxious dogs no longer come home worn out from stress, which clients claim is what usually happens with other groomers. You won’t have to get the heartache of seeing your dog shivering in fear with their tails tucked between their legs after grooming.

It’s also worth noting that Oliver has impeccable haircutting as well as nail clipping, ear cleaning and styling talents. From a 15-week-old Yorkie to an 8-year-old dog, he can adjust and adopt the best ways to hold them with precision and care, giving them a look fit for a dog show!

On the downside, their grooming spa has a small team, and with Oliver being the only groomer, it has taken some toll on their capability to accommodate growing demand.

In addition, we noted some reports regarding unresponsiveness, particularly with unanswered calls and texts for more than one to two days. You’ll probably need to book an appointment at least five days before to ensure you won’t run into scheduling issues.

Nonetheless, Oliver Professional Dog and Cat Grooming Spa is your go-to guy to give your dogs top-notch grooming without stressing them out.

Good news for all the fur parents who have a business trip coming up, especially if you need someone to look after their dogs. 

Besides grooming, Pride & Groom also offers daycare and pet hotel services, which means you can leave your dog with them and come back to a freshly-trimmed wagging tail.

We like that they use natural, non-toxic, biodegradable shampoos, so you won’t have to worry about irritations or chemical burns — wouldn’t want a Clifford-inspired look, eh?

From our surveys, most clients are happy with how their dogs smell after the session. It’s also great that the dogs don’t show any discomfort or uneasiness with the smell or products used. 

We’re also relieved that the dogs don’t get stressed or anxious during each appointment, with some lasting up to fours for full-service grooming.

On that note, if your dog isn’t used to staying in a cage after grooming, we appreciate that they have a doggie waiting area for dogs that can’t be kenneled. 

However, we’re quite iffy about reports regarding some misunderstanding with custom or breed trim requests that don’t match with the owner’s vision. We encourage you to give detailed descriptions, instructions or reference pictures if you’re looking for something specific.

Still, we highly recommend Pride & Groom for your dog’s grooming needs, especially if you have a quick business trip over the weekend — they’re available seven days a week!

Fetching Style Grooming is a full-service professional all-breed dog grooming salon that specializes in delicate hand scissoring and expert finishing.

It’s worth mentioning that they offer a $5 walk-in nail clipping service that usually takes minutes to finish. We’re impressed at how fast and efficient the staff are with nail clipping; dog owners would be in and out within ten minutes and go on with their day.

And their speedy services don’t stop at nail clipping, and the same is true with the rest of their grooming services. To give you an idea, some clients even bring in three dogs simultaneously and leave in the same afternoon with three dogs looking fresh and dapper. 

Although, we noticed that there are times when they can’t get the grooming styles or requests to a Tee. So, we suggest you stay throughout the entire grooming if you have relatively complicated or particular trims in mind.

On the bright side, we like that their staff are accommodating and friendly, so you won’t have any trouble sharing your preferences or requests, even when they might seem extensive or demanding.

Lastly, we’re impressed with how professional Fetching Style Grooming handles dogs. In fact, they’re also great with behaviorally challenged dogs.

The Pawsh Dog Inc. has a team of professional groomers, trainers, and daycare attendants to ensure the dogs are safe, clean, happy and healthy.

What impressed us the most is their extensive pet services, from deep cleansing to wellness checks and doggie day camps to boutiques — they do and have it all!

In other words, you can schedule a productive day camp session for your pups and a full grooming service in one day. We also like that they have their own boutique of food, treats, toys and other products to spoil your free-loading babies.

Conveniently, you can easily plot and schedule the services you want via their online booking system on their website. 

We also like that their staff are friendly and professional with both the dogs and the owners. For instance, they would offer complimentary daycare services with grooming, and they always provide a report card for your pet and take pictures, too!

But, we noted a couple of complaints about their customer service for follow-up concerns or issues like minor razor burns or irritations. You’ll probably need to go to the salon instead of waiting for a reply over the phone to resolve the problem faster.

Though, we have to give The Pawsh Dog Inc. props for being a one-stop shop for dog owners, no need to hop from place to place to buy dog necessities.

With over 17 years of experience, Hip Pooch continues to provide grooming services, treats, food, toys, and other supplies for your dogs.

On that note, we like the variety of treats and supplies they offer, such as interactive toys, freeze-dried and chewing treats, dog food, paws and skin care, and leashes.

And it’s also a plus in our books that they have an online booking system on their website where you can schedule appointments and shop for some goodies and supplies for your pooch.

But, just a heads up, some of their products are slightly pricier than other shops. So, if you’re working with a budget, it’s best to browse around different shops before checking out your basket.

In addition, we learned that they don’t provide daycare services, which may be a deal breaker for some if you wish to let your dog stay for more than three hours after their grooming session.

On a positive note, it’s admirable that Hip Pooch has different types of shampoo that can be used based on the coat type of your dog at no extra charge. Plus, they can accommodate requests if you prefer something with no scent or your dog has allergies. 

Finally, Hip Pooch is a solid choice if it’s your dog’s first time visiting a pet groomer because, from what we’ve seen, they’re great at establishing a calming and safe space for your anxious dogs!
